Campfire Legends - The Hookman
 –

Too short and buggy

While I liked the game. It had two serious flaws.

The first was that the game did not automatically save your progress and when my trial period ran out I lost close to an hour's gameplay. Unfortunately I only found this out after purchasing a license key. I also had the game crashed on me during play once again losing about a half-hour's progress.

The second is the overall length of the game. The game takes no more than two hours to complete and while not expensive I found it to be too short for the price.

The game did have some good logic puzzles and hidden objects were in multiple locations. While the gameplay was linear, hints could always be found and overall the game was fun to play.

Unfortunately given the instability and overall duration of the game I can only give it a fair review.

Wonderful and beautiful

This is what a game should be - challenging, beautiful to look at, great music, delightful story and characters. Well worth the money and time.

Frantic and Fun

This game is amazing! It's a classic match-3 tile game, but plays off its own unique mechanics to give it a new feel. Fast-paced and entertaining... And such a good price!

for a rainy day

We played one rainy weekend this game together with my wife and eight year old son. Its breath taking graphics, cool ambient soundtrack and fun puzzles totally enchant us to the rusty world of Machinarium. Now that our little hero bravely solved the somewhat 30 hotspots and flew away with his robotgirlfriend, we miss them a lot. Machinarium is indie gaming at its best that I can warmly recommend - it crowns rainy weekend like Neil Gaimans comics.

Unique and beautiful

I tried the demo, but immediately realised I had to own this game so I could fully immerse myself in it.

This is without a doubt one of the visually most stunning games I have ever played. The world that's been put before us is incredibly rich in detail, and just an absolute joy to look at. The visuals reminded me a little of the French movie, The Triplets of Belleville. Just gorgeous.

The robot handles very well, and is irresistibly adorable in his actions. The puzzles are challenging and offer a wide variety of types and challenges. Sometimes you have to collect an item in one room to use in another. I dare say even the most avid puzzle solver will find something to scratch their heads about. But don't worry, there are hints available (and even a cheat book if you are completely stuck).

This game offers a complete experience; visual beauty, immersive locations, challenging puzzles, hours of fun gameplay. Easily worth every penny. You don't believe me, try the demo.

I loved it also

I thought this game was really fun. Way better than most hide and seek games. I agree with the last reviewer the end came too fast but I would definitely buy this game again if they came out with a sequel.

Interesting, but graphics are week

I only played it for the demo time. I enjoyed the variety of puzzles and hidden object. I found the graphics grainy, but serviceable.

An aestheticly mindblowing game

This game is simply beautiful. It completely steps into a world of its own by showing hand-drawn looking characters and environments. The puzzles themselves are challenging and make you incorporate broader problem-solving skills beyond the one scene that you're playing through.

Exceedingly well thought out and definitely worth buying the full game.

At a "casual game" price, this might be a winner

Based on my playing of the demo, this is a pretty game with decent replayability, but it's more like an offline version of a fun Flash game, the kind of thing that goes for $1-5 on the iPhone, or up to $9.95 on a desktop machine, but at $19.95, it leaves a little to be desired. For that price, I'd expect a level editor, or some other value add. That's just me, though. 3 stars for a quick fun game, -2 for value.

Princess Isabella: A Witch's Curse
 –

Not the usual Hidden Object game

I'm often bored by Hidden Object games, but even the Hidden Objects in this game are worth it, as the objects are meaningful (some pieces are used in other puzzles). This game has fun - and sometimes challenging - variety of puzzles, and at no time did they feel tedious or pointless. And the puzzles didn't feel "tacked on", but fit into the story being told. The game felt like it was over too quickly, which is a GOOD thing because it means I was having fun and was disappointed to have it end. This is an excellent casual puzzle game that can be played in a few hours.

An amazing game!

It looks amazing, it plays amazing, it's just so unique!!

Has several difficult puzzles to work out and worst case scenario you can you the blue print cheat book at any time.

Look forward to a sequel being made.

All time greats are great all the time

This is almost a clone of Panzer General. This was one of the all time great strategic games. Only addition would be a scenario where the western allies could fight Soviet Union after defeating Axis. Great job guys.
