Jewel Quest III
 –

enjoyable

I still have not finished the game yet. I bought it for the story line. The quests with the stories don't quite fit. For example, The locals tells you that the bad guy has just passed through. You have to complete this particular puzzle. Once puzzle is complete you are moved to another area of the game. There is no " since you completed this hard task here is some information, tool, etc to help you along your way." I hope that was clear. But these speed match puzzles could be fun or aggravating for a person.

Return to Mysterious Island

enjoyed it

It was shorter then expected. Not that it was very short but I was really surprised how fast it ended. It's a lovely game. I have not played it twice but you could do that to solve the problems in a different way. The monkey add texture and emotion to the game. I think this game is 30$. For $20 I would have given it 5 stars. But not sure with the length was it worth the extra 10.

CLUE Accusations and Alibis
 –

Clue - Ok

I really like hidden object games even though (and possibly because) they find absurd and sneaky places to hide the objects. In this game, the objects are in logical locations and appropriate scale, so they are extremely easy to find. Also, from game to game, the objects are often in the exact same spot. When solving the mystery, you are only competing against time and you have so much time that you can't help but solve it. I tired of this game quite quickly and much prefer the original.

Like this game. It is fun and is a bit different than some time management games.

Mahjongg – Ancient Mayas
 –

The KING of Mahjong games!!

Definitely one of the very best Mahjong games out there. It's a big, beautiful, multi-faceted game with sensitive response and so many choices of layouts, levels, dificulty etc. it's worth every penny. If you love Mahjong you must have this one.

Mystery Stories: Berlin Nights
 –

Reviewing part of the game

My first comment echoes the previous reviewer's. The game is ridiculously slow to load and play. I usually have time to go away and do something else whilst it loads.

Now I am stuck at a particular point in the game with no effective hint. Specifically I have to thread some pearls on a necklace, and despite wasting endless hints and searching the entire scene pixel by pixel I have been unable to locate two of them. As there is no way to skip this, the rest of the game is wasted.

On the plus side the concept is good and the graphics clear, and the game developers have found some interesting ways to enliven what is, after all, just another hidden object game.
If you like hidden object games I think it's worth a go, but I wish someone would show me where those pearls are!

Prince of Persia The Two Thrones
 –

a worthless and disappointing cap to the trilogy

Through Two Thrones got better reviews than Warrior Within - most of the elements that made that game bad are still present and the elements that made Sands of Time such an amazing game are quite absent.

Ubi should really ciderize Sands of Time and stop pushing Two Thrones. For Mac users who have never played this Prince of Persia, it's really the best title in every way. The tech is simpler but they crafted a wonderful mix of character, action, atmophere, and adventure with what they could at the time.. Sands of Time broke a lot of new ground, with style. Two Thrones (and Warrior Within) on the other hand, re-hashes the franchise and degrades it, aiming it in the direction of Quake (reduced color palette, death metal, no character, etc.) with badly implemented versions of new game mechanics.

Two Thrones is a frustrating, disappointing, ugly game. I'm baffled as to why they chose to port this one to the Mac. Sands of Time would have been a much better choice.

Burger Shop 2
 –

Great sequel!

Like the first Burger Shop, your job is to serve customers their orders in a timely fashion. But in this sequel, you're dealing with breakfast, lunch and dinner menu items as well as other odds and ends like giving a free shirt to the shirtless guy before he offends the other customers.

This version is more challenging and a lot of fun. The levels are very quick - great if you only have 5 or 10 minutes to play.

3 Days: Zoo Mystery
 –

Tedious and Not Fun

Do not buy this game if you don't like timed games, slider or illogical puzzles.

What a waste, wish I could get my money back. Played until round 7 and then said forget it after the second timed sequence, which is almost impossible to finish on a MBP using the track pad due to the buggy game play.

Return to Mysterious Island

Addictive

This is a really good game spoiled by a glitch near the ending.

The game is challanging and irritatingly addictive, you will end up getting stuck on the most basic of puzzles for hours, nice graphics (lags a wee bit in parts using a macbook), ace storyline only real downside is one glitch that kept causing the game to crash, have heard there is a patch to fix this tho

Burger Shop 2

Even better than the first

If you have played the first burger shop game then you will already know what to expect, but there is a lot more content to this sequal and worth purchasing.

If you are looking for a quick, easy to learn, mindless game this is the one for you!

G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles
 –

I liked it BUT...

....waaaaay too short. That's the only thing bad about it. The premise was right up my alley as I love renaissance festivals. Overall, it wasn't a very challenging game - but I can be a real idiot sometimes, so I don't care for difficult games.

Not bad but short

Good basic idea, the environment is interesting, the hidden objects medium challenging and traveling to put items together is not difficult. I could do without the woman dancing during the credits, though.

Another winner from Spiderweb

I have been a fan of Spiderweb software for years - This is the best so far of the Avernum series - good story, easy to use and engrossing. Try it out!

Blitzkrieg
 –

So SO

I would not recommend this game.

The game speed is way to fast for how quickly your units die. Squads of infantry do not die in 5 seconds in real combat EVERY time. Also you cant see where your being attacked from. I am fine with fog of war,but u can barely see on the mini map,and by the time u realize, your units are gone. Units die to easily.

The good
nice graphics and good detailed armor, though i question if these values really work as i have had tanks get blows away by little anti tank guns that then wipe out my infantry, they either do one or the other, not both.
