The Rise of Atlantis
 –

Repeated fun but .....

I can play this endlessly but it is designed to eventually release a screen saver but it will never let me get beyond Level 3! I am fast and get faster and faster but never get to the final goal! Most frustrating.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
 –

A True Survival Horror

Amnesia is a true survival horror forcing you to use your wits to escape the evil that lurks around every corner. If anything it will probably cause you to break the pause button on your keyboard because of how intense the game gets.

The sounds you hear in the game will leave you questioning yourself wherever to continue or not through the dark hallways. If you see something that wants to kill you there are only two options, Run or Hide!

This game is a must have for anyone who enjoys survival horror games, if you're not sure about this game then try out the demo. But believe me when I say for an indie game the whole experience is incredible.

Falcon 4.0: Allied Force (discontinued)
 –

Outstanding!

Goodness, I'd missed the news this version had been ported to the Mac! I've been a hard-core F16 fan from my Amiga days in the 90's, and keep a PPC PowerMac which allowed me to play the very buggy original MacSoft Falcon 4.0.

I'd kind of given up and had gone to the dark side with Allied Force under Boot Camp, but it's really good to see it released for the Mac.
Now... I wonder if the many upgrades will work with the Mac version? HiRes tiles? The amazing new BMS4 mod?

Now that would be sweet!

Oh, by the way, this is a serious flight sim, definitely not for the faint-hearted!

Rail Cargo Simulator
 –

Es kommt aus Deutschland!-

No doubt this was planned as a secret weapon just before the war ended. It was a bid to get die Amerikaner to switch sides. However, they forgot that even the 2 years I took in High School was only good for saying "get your hands up" or "don't shoot" :)

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline
 –

Sooo close.

This game would be excellent if Gameloft would have added something other than keyboard controls. As it is a potentially awesome game is pretty much ruined by poor control implementation. The real problem is that the kind of drifting you need to do well in the game cannot be controlled smoothly with a keyboard. Too bad, the graphics are nice and clear and the sound is nice.. Come on Gameloft: fix this.

Gravely Silent: House of Deadlock Collector's Edition
 –

A little pricey but a really good game

Excellent story line, terrific graphics, not too difficult puzzles. I played this game on the most difficult level and found it to be just enough of a challenge. It would get 5 stars if it were $12, but at $20 I feel it's overpriced, hence only 4 stars from me.

Torchlight
 –

meh

good graphics. game is a strange combination of too easy followed by a point where it is just way too hard. never finished this one. it doesnt make sense that you can level and level and level and get to the final scenes only to be slaughtered like a noob.

Din's Curse
 –

great replay value

this is still the best game I have found for mac! basically a hack-n-slash but with a twist - the monsters will come and destroy the town if you aren't fast enough at solving quests! great character classes and hybrid builds available. the only negative is the graphics are fairly simple, but if you like hack-n-slash games like diablo or torchlight give this game a go!

Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition
 –

won't start, and ubisoft help is useless

Running a 2011 macbook pro and I expected some lag and graphic issues but the game won't even start. Tried contacting ubisoft and they are possibly the most useless customer service I've ever dealt with. They won't help me because my computer doesn't meet their specs (video card) so they just won't bother. Don't support ubisoft.

Halo Universal Binary
 –

Saved me

I was clearing out the garage when all of a sudden, "snap". Looked down to realise I'd finally found my old copy of Halo for Mac. Under my foot in pieces. Long story, short: eBay, Amazon - WTF? $150! Googled, found this site, used my original Mac serial number, downloaded, installed, burnt to disc. New disc, great performance (1920x1200, without so much as a flicker), stable and this great game - originally developed for the Mac, as opposed to XBox - takes a licking and keeps on ticking, in 10.7 Lion no less!

The best 5 bucks I've spent since . Hell, since 5 bucks could buy you anything. Thank you for updating this classic title. I doubt we'll ever see the other Halo titles on Mac but the original really has stood the test of time remarkably well and remains so much fun.

Dexter The Game
 –

Great game but very unstable

I really enjoy this game but the amount of crashes and various bugs are really annoying.

Pros:
The game is true to the first season of the show. The graphics and game play are great. Interaction with items and so on are also quite good.

Cons:
It feels like the developer rushed the game and didn't really test it with a wide array of OSes or Mac models. When I play this game on my MBP there are times I cannot launch the game due a missinf file error or it locks up at the opening screen. On both my iMac and MBP there are numerous crashes during game play.

Both my computers are using Mac OS 10.6.8 with the latest updates from Apple. I hope these bugs will be addressed soon.

You want happy- you got it...

I realize this puzzle game's ambiance may not be for everyone, but it gives me a happy, shiny feeling. The game mechanic takes a little while to get used to, but it's unique and is well put together. Quality fun.
