Awesome

I am an "older" gamer and I do love the puzzles. I particularly like the rooms where you have to figure the connection to each other. I hate to see it end, hopefully you will have more of such games. Do enjoy it!!!

Hidden Secrets: The Nightmare

Super Puzzle

I was totally engaged and had a hard time quitting-as a result I finished the game in one sitting. The only negative I have is it is much too short. Please more of these!! Really enjoyed it. Worth the money.

Big fun

This game is one of my favorites. It was almost a little to easy for me to beat...up until the bonus pack!

Rhem 3
 –

Surprisingly challenging.

This is an excellent game! I have played other Rhem games and it wasn't until this version that I really got into it. This game is a real challenge in my opinion, but not so much so as to make you pull your hair out. It is really fun exploring this rather strange world and then discovering that you can manipulate that world if you are clever enough. I give it top marks for overall and game play, but don't trust my ratings for graphics and sound. I never listen to any music in any of these games, but this one doesn't seem to have any - and what it did have in terms of sounds was precious little. As far as graphics, this game has the usual Mac malady of having two resolutions - full screen and therefore somewhat grainy, or too small. That's it.

Overall - great fun.

Fun, but jerky graphics and too short

The game is about 2 hours long, and if you've got any sort of arcade game skill you'll beat it first time. The graphics stutter, even on a macbook pro, which is massively more than the suggested system. Overall I'd say this game was worth $10, unfortunately it costs 20.

Eschalon: Book I

Great "old school" game.

For those of you who played Fall Out and enjoy a turn-based strategy game then this is worth the $. Good story and lots of directions to take so you never get stuck for too long.

Azkend

Time Killer

Azkend is an uncomplicated but fun game to play. The game play is not all that challenging but I still found it enjoyable. The music with the game is quite lovely and not annoying as some games I have played. I am not sure it is worth the $20 price tag but I am glad I have it on my computer to play when I am bored. The levels are pretty similar and the only challenge is that you get less time as the game goes on to complete each level. The power-ups are average in the game; some are effective in the game some not so much. The storyline of the game could be much more interesting as the ending leaves you 2 choices how to end the game, but after playing twice you realize it ends the same way regardless of what you choose.
Overall, I liked the game though it is not challenging but sometimes you just want something to play and not compete against.

Slow Slow Slow

not interesting enough upgrades, poor music & graphics. Also, a glitch in the game causes it to slow down constantly.

The Count of Monte Cristo

Too many bugs!

Designers need to learn to spell and to check their creation. Some scenes don't recognise that you have found all the objects; in another the congratulations scroll gets stuck in a loop so you have to force quit, and another won't accept a click to OK. It goes on. This game is not ready for release, urgent attention required.

Not difficult enough

I wish I could find a game that would take me more than a few hours to finish. This was a cute game, but not nearly difficult enough.

A wonderful game to play. Good sound, graphics, but constantly crashes. I am running the game with Leopard, don't know if there is an incompatibility problem.

Sveerz Deluxe

Memory Workout

This is a rather simple but addictive game that can be quite challenging. Word of warning though, the music that accompanies the game is a rather powerful meem and you will find yourself saying or singing red, green, yellow, blue long after you've switched off your monitor.

After playing the game for less than an hour, i discovered the game has some bugs. A room with a door to another room is supposed to become visible after finding all the clues, but it doesn't change. I have played this room with several names, will all the same result. One of the other challenges on this game just froze up and i had to just wait until time ran out. I would not recomend.

Good, but not as great as it could be.

Overall, I had fun playing through the different puzzles. I went ahead and purchased the game after playing through the demo assuming that the puzzles would get significantly harder by the end. However, though most are still enjoyable, the puzzles are generally too easy and more appropriate for a younger crowd. It usually took 2 minutes or less to get through each puzzle, and I breezed through the game in a mere 2 nights of gameplay (without staying up all night to do it).

I enjoyed the room games where the player is required to find and properly use various items found around the room, but found that the hints gave too much away to really make it very challenging to figure out what to do.

If you enjoy challenging puzzles that really make you think, this is probably not the game for you (though the sound and graphics are done quite well.) I remember doing puzzles out of a book when I was a kid, and I think that this game would be really fun to the right 10-12 year old.

Amazing!

This game, while not the most graphically advanced, is an epic strategy game. No where else can you go so indepth into EVERY aspect of the nation as in this game. If you're looking for mindless strategy, I suggest you look elsewhere. If you're looking for a game with hours upon hours of playability, this is for you.

Hidden Secrets: The Nightmare
 –

Mixed

The story line is an interesting enough twist, but I agree that the mini games are more of a distraction than anything else. Once they are unlocked, though, they are something my kids can play. I got to level 11 on the first pass before becoming a bit bored, but I was having to use the hints a lot, and had to skip the peg mini game. One clue I was supposed to find was in the pitch dark! I'd rather be searching for things I can at least see, than aimlessly clicking around for minutes just to see if what I need is invisible somewhere. I'll try to get through to the end, but I'll be quite frustrated if I get stuck somewhere in spite of mousing over and clicking every darn pixel.
