Deponia

Great discovery

Deponia is one of the most wonderful point-click games developed in the last years. Its graphics, its characters and its puzzles make it an interesting adventure. You won't be disappointed at all!

A New Beginning - Final Cut
 –

Forgettable, but no regrets after buying it

Well, I barely remembered this adventure, so it seems not to be really remarkable. Despite this, I never published a review, so I think it's a low-quality adventure. I only recommend you to buy it if you don't have any other adventure to play.

Journey of a Roach
 –

Lovely!

This adventure is absolutely stunning. It presents a new way of playing the character: being a roach means you will be able to walk on walls and it's a whole sub-world. I really recommend you to buy it for its graphics, quality and the love for their main characters.

Ghost Encounters: Deadwood - Collector's Edition
 –

This game needs a MAP!

This game is SERIOUSLY in need of a MAP! I'm sick & tired of running around all over trying to find the "hook" to put the paper on. The hints are arcane at best & though I'm proably halfway through, I'm thinking of quitting. Animation is nonexistant. The "bad guy" just glides around looking menacing. On the plus side, the mini games are pretty easy. The HO part is also pretty easy but when one is looking for shapes, the objects are not removed, so everything is still there, making it even more difficult to find things. I guess, all in all, the game is pretty cheap, so just beware of the minuses here & go for it if you'd like to try it.

Sid Meier's Railroads!
 –

Oh To Be A Rail Baron

I am totally blown away by the game. I love model railroads and have always wanted one in my basement. Now I have something better. I love the graphics and the way the game plays, but it can be hard to keep track of all the stations demands and supplies. I like the way things progress and evolve over the time period. I like to watch the trains move thru their routes and stations. The stations at each pick up is amanited and is cool to watch. Love it, love it, love it.

FATE
 –

Come My Pet Time To Explore

I played this on a PC and when I got my mac and when I saw it was available here I bought it and it is one my favourite games I play it a lot and try every level to see what the differences are. I like the way you get items and can send your pet to town to sell them for you, it is like having a never ending money supply, and you need money to stay alive and get better weapons and spells. The graphics are well done and colourful. The array of monsters and demons to fight is emense and their levels increase with each floor you descend

Gone Home
 –

Sequel?

Liked the game a lot. Mysterious, some tension-building moments, questions about the uncle's abrupt sale of the pharmacy, what's going on with the parents, where is Sam. A very easy game to get immersed in. I was intriqued enough to Google the story behind the game and learned more about the team that developed it. I hope there will be an second installment that digs deeper into the lives of this family.

Tomb Raider
 –

Terrific

I agree with Wumpus. The price is more than justified. The graphics are something of the best i've ever seen. But the best game of the year... i don't know...this seems fairly understated. Don't hesitate buying it. Let Lara suffer for the first time!

RHEM 4: The Golden Fragments
 –

Argh! No thanks.

This game is WAY over my head and I play lots of 'em. Interesting graphics, but just too frustrating as each puzzle seems WAY too difficult. No thanks. I would much rather play a game with challenging things to solve and do, but not so incredibly hard that I just want to run headlong into a brickwall to feel better!!!

Tesla's Tower: The Wardenclyffe Mystery
 –

Good balance

This is more puzzle and adventure than hidden object, though there is a good dose of all these elements. The story is fun, the voice acting is quite good, and the puzzles generally challenging and entertaining. Some puzzles are quite simple, a couple are very difficult, but altogether fun and well-made and suitable for people who prefer puzzles to hidden object. It took me about five hours, so it's a little short for the price, but not bad!

Nice Game

The first in the series. Though it gets boring if you play it for too long, it's still fun to play for an hour of relaxation on a number of days.

Tropical Love

Great economic simulation game. Keeps you entertained for hours. The missions may start out the same but aren't really once you progress.

Heart's Medicine - Season One
 –

Absolutely LOVE this game!!!!!!!

I bought this game simply because I was bored and I honestly didn't think it would be a great game. Thank GOD I was wrong, I work in the medical field and trust me this game is nothing like the real thing, however the story line is great and the interactions are lots of fun, I have recommended it to so many people. I really pray they come out with season 2 but from my research it doesn't look hopeful.

The Wolf Among Us (Telltale Key)
 –

TellTale Does it Again

Another winner form Telltale Games; the company that knows that there are game players out there that do not want difficult thumb twitchers but want compelling storylines. The first episode of 'The Wolf Among Us' promises to be as good or perhaps better than 'The Walking Dead'. Although there is a timer that pressures you to make game decisions that effect the progress of the story, they are not frustrating game stopping events that all too common in other games and have you looking desperately for a cheat. If you love good storytelling in a computer game, you cannot go wrong here. The only negative comment I have is the long wait between episodes. I wish that the writers were faster in releasing the complete game. I certainly don't want to wait a year to finish the game.

UPDATE: The 'long wait' was shortened considerably and I finished the game. This game has made me a committed fan of Telltale Games. They have produced a terrific story that is actually an animated graphic novel rather than a standard game. A rather outstanding graphic novel, in fact, told with some player input throughout the episodes. This game is well worth your time if you are a reader of books or graphic novels and a fan of other games that reply on storytelling such as 'The Wolf Amoung Us' or 'The Last Express'.

Tomb Raider
 –

Amazing!

You don't need to be a Tomb Raider fan to enjoy this perfect action adventure game. Lara's journey from naïve explorer to hardened survivalist should not be missed. It may be expensive, but it is one of the best games you will play this year. Get it!

Tomb Raider DLC Collection
 –

Not bad DLC

If you love Tomb Raider, then this is worth picking up. The new challenge tomb is near the beginning and nets you a lot of salvage and XP. Just be sure to revisit it later when you have the grenade launcher upgrade. I forgot about that until after I finished the game.

Lara's outfits are fun. I spent most of the game in the Aviatrix outfit, but your mileage may vary. Her default look is really good as well.

The upgrades they give you are a little more sketchy. Lara's skills are in a tiered system, so this just lets you buy/unlock them early with XP instead of later. Convenient, but not necessary. Probably the best one is the Agility skill as it lets you climb faster and fall farther without dying. Handy to get around.

The multiplayer is actually decently fun. And this is probably where the DLC shines most. The weapons are really good and you don't have to grind 30-50 levels to get them like everything else. The multi characters are just skins, but I enjoy the executioner.

The new multiplayer maps are also really good. The problem with releasing DLC maps is then splitting the community between those who have them, and those who don't. Still if you have some friends or a group going, they are great places to fight.
