Great game if you have the hardware

I don't know why people are saying the graphics are bad, I thought they were great for a $20 game. Heck, they are great for any dollar game. I'd love to be able to max everything out here, but my Mac Book Pro can't handle it.

Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate

Challenging Gme

This is not your mother's seek and find. The puzzles are equal to Azada and some to the maze at the end of Dream Chronicles 2. The graphics are very good and you better think outside the box when interpreting the clues. You are a better man than I am if you can get through it on the first try. Talk to yourself, blink, move around and don't use your hints too soon. The clock does not penalize and in some scenarios will reward you if you are fast. More like this, please.

Excellent Game

Many cars, Beautiful tracks and cool model destruction will keep you playing this game very, very long. U can play career, championship, and time trial modes. One bad thing is that you can't crash & bump other cars, u can see only a "ghost car", but game is still wonderful.

Good for beginners

This version of Sudoku is suitable for beginners. If you're an experienced player looking for a challenge, look elsewhere. The "expert" level is no harder than "moderate".

Jewel Quest III
 –

great value for your dollar and lots of gameplay

I just finished another game and it took me 4 hours. JEWEL QUEST III does not stray two far from the first and each level offers different challenges. YOU can also play in tournament mode. It is plenty long enough and you can replay and game or level in it. Some parts are quite difficult and have a short time limit. I found myself replaying them till i beat them. It is very nice that the gameplay changes with every continent. I found there was noway I could play right through at once and my brain had to take some breaks lol.Def. worth the money in gametime and difficulty. I just wish they would give you a bit more of a time limit. The story is not it's strong point. It is the gameplay. I am hooked enough to make sure I finish it after many breaks!

very well done

Really excellent sound track and impressive graphics. I have find some of the game hints a little arcane, but there are forums on the web if you need them. Highly recommended!

Women's Murder Club: Death In Scarlet

Loved Women's Murder Club..

This was the best game that I have purchased online! The art work was super, the music very good, and the puzzles were so much fun! I would love more by this group. I will replay this game in a month or so when I have forgotten the solutions to many of the puzzles...........!

More of this type PLEASE!!!

Beautifully Simple

This game is addictive. Everything about it is fairly simple, but it just works really well. The progression of the story keeps the different levels interesting even though the concept remains much the same. And even though you can figure out strategies that work best for various levels, there is a lot of replay value because of the unpredictable movement of the various potential foodstuffs.

Fun for grownups. As far as kids go, definitely fun, no "adult" content, and no graphic violence. People get eaten in some levels, but in a cartoon-like, bloodless way - not really different from the amoebas or asteroids but just part of the food chain. Some educational value (notwithstanding the alien motherships, etc.)

Stay away from this one

Just bought this game and almost all puzzles are impossible to complete. Unlimited shuffles is a lie! The only way to shuffle the tiles is to restart all over again and lose a life in the process. Very frustrating and so not recommended.

Women's Murder Club: Death In Scarlet

Too short!

I agree with many other reviewers that this game was just too short. For $20 I expect a bit more from a game, as far as playing time. Otherwise, this is a great hidden object game with other puzzles mixed in. I liked the storyline and the characters. Well done! We just want more! I can't rate the sound, as I played the game on mute for the most part.

Attractive & fun for the holidays

Santa Claus is missing. There are a nice mix of puzzles and mini games in this H/O game though some of them are on the easy side. There are 80 levels in all and the presentation is very attractive. Sometimes the dialogue can be a bit silly. The game is played in time mode but there is plenty of time. It is a fun game for the holidays esp. for the family. Not very hard but not ridiculously easy either. If you are a H/O fan you will enjoy this. The beauty of it is in the holiday theme and some of the mini games.

The Race

The Race

The premise of the game is standard fare, nothing exciting. The objects you need to find in order to get the powerups are obvious, not hard to find. When you do find one the announcer's voice is very irritating. Most of the objects are medium easy to find but some are impossible due to the fuzzy, dark graphics.

Women's Murder Club: Death In Scarlet

A Great Game with a lof of Twists!

The Womens Murder Club is a game with part H/O, part puzzle and part detective story. It has many original mini games and great graphics. It has a much stronger storyline than most h/o games and makes great use of collecting inventory items. It is realistic enough to make you feel like a real detective lol. There is so much to the game that you won't be disappointed! I am sure there will be more to follow.

Average to good

There are a lot of interesting scenes, good reality theme and neat use of the cursors. However, many of the objects are unclear and too many hints. It is a lighthearted game on the easy side yet it offers something different for H/O fans than the typical mystery, ghosts or haunted house.

Build In Time

Addictive Time Management Game

The game has a lot of challenges. One of the neatest things is the game atmosphere changes with each decade. It has great replay value. It can be difficult to unlock all of the EXPERT sections. It is a fast paced time management game with lots of twists. There are also lots of upgrades in the game which make it worth playing again.

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
 –

Still a bargain...

LOTR:Return of the King

First off, I thought I was buying "Battle for Middle Earth," so I was shocked to get a First person hack and slash in the mail...oops!

However, I was pleasantly surprised.

ROTK has very nice graphics and movie cut scenes, and loads of special features that should please any fan. Unlockable characters are very cool, and so is the added movie and art bonuses.

On my Macbook 2.0Ghz w/ 1 GB Ram (64 meg VRAM)I can only play it on lower settings, and 800x600 resolution. Anything above that and during melees or explosions it lags horribly. That said, at my moderate settings, it still is a pretty game with lots of eye candy.

The gameplay itself is not inspired when played with keyboard and mouse: this is definitely a game best played with a gamepad, as the "combo" moves (ie:LMB, f, L-shift, etc) are difficult to pull off without a double-jointed pinky. Never fear, tho, it still good, you just might not be able to use your more advanced moves in the middle of a frantic battle. (Macbook users will want to re-map some controls to make it easier)

The sound is pretty good, altho some cutscenes are not perfectly synced to the mouths moving on screen. But most sounds are right out of the movie. When loading some levels on your repeated attempts to beat them, it can get annoying that you have to watch the intro to a level over and over with no way to move right to the battle. (there is a workaround for PC, but haven't had luck with it on my mac)

The game has a tendency to crash ONCE IN A WHILE...not often enough to throw it out the window, but every few days just to keep you on your toes. Saving is not really handy...you cannot save in the middle of a level, or right before a boss. You can only save after completing a level.

Overall, a good game, not a great one, but for 14.95, a real bargain.

Women's Murder Club: Death In Scarlet

Women's Murder Club

I do enjoy the Hidden object games, and this one is exceptional. I like that there is a combination of hidden objects and puzzles to work out. Up there with my all time favorite of Azada. Hope to see more of this kind of game. If there is a negative, it is much too short.
