nice game, very fun to play

it is a very good game it may not have as good graphics as age of empires 3. but i think it is a lot to play, and the campaign is great and, it is a game you can really get into.

Need more complete system requirements

I downloaded this game and tried to play it on my Powerbook G4, 1.67GHz running Leopard and it will not work. It runs fine on my daughter's intel MacBook. Most site indicate that 10.5 is the only system requirement, but I have seen at least one that say a G5 is also required, so maybe that is the problem. I emailed the developers twice to get a clarification and got no response. Overall the game is really fun and we get a kick out of playing it - when our daughter is visiting from college and we can borrow her laptop.

Great game!

Anyone who likes role-playing games should love this! It has a really detailed character editor, that I really enjoyed. I really thought that this game was great. There was one glitch in my party's AI at one point. Overall a really great game, Very fun.

Chocolatier 2: Secret Ingredients

Liked it a lot

I wish they had more to it,

It ended far to quickly and I wished you could do more with the lab. You had to stay within the confines of the game. I liked it so much I wanted a 3rd version. Like the guy above, After winning, there is no challenge to go back and play again, as you know all the answers and the challenge is gone. The adventure story games like this are great fun without putting too much time into it. You can come back to the story without having to learn a lot of hard stuff just to have a relaxing time.

Waste of Money

I thought this was a great idea for someone that likes to play games like Build-A-Lot, etc. but I was wrong. You don't move up levels, so basically all you can sell are trailer's, you are never able to sell the higher priced homes, and at some point the game just arbitrarily stops and says "You have come in 2nd" or "You have won". Apparently there is a time limit, but I wouldn't know what that limit is, and it definitely isn't long enough to allow someone to build up the capital to move out of the trailer park homes.

I also had a lot of problems with installing and playing this game. I couldn't select any of the menu's for it, such as "File", and I had problems opening it.

Generally I feel that this game was a waste of money.

Mysteryville
 –

Enjoyable...a little on the short side

I quite enjoyed this game, in fact have already playe mysteryville 2. I found the graphics good quality and the characters fit in with the story very well. There are a good mix of mini puzzles to go along. The story fits together quite well for a (hide&seek) It is not the hardest puzzle out there and a little on the short side but I enjoyed it just the same. I bought one and two and will buy the 3rd. There is no relaxed mode but you don't really need one. Just a nice story all in all!

Kudos Rock Legend
 –

A few bugs here and there, but overall an addictive and fun game!

This is not like Guitar Hero or Rock Band... This is more of a sim game, in which you manage to form your own band and practice, while performing in gigs.

It's all about management - you get money overtime, but depending on how you spend it, you may be either successful or bankrupt. You need to find instrumentalists that appeal your interest. Each have their "special" feature that may include discounts while buying instruments and being egoist and destructive, which may cause you some trouble. Overtime, they'll start demanding better instruments, a manager, a publicist and even a limo to get to the shows. Mean-whilst, you gotta get inspired to make your songs, and both improve them and retire after they start to get boring.

Practicing your instrument and composing music are mini-games that may either entertain or frustrate you.

Every action - hiring, buying, playing, practicing, going to a show and even resting - takes a whole day. So this is like a turn based simulation game. Be sure you don't miss the gigs in your agenda, and let your crew rest a bit when stressed.

Graphics wise, this game is simple but effective. Nothing spectacular. Sound could be better, if it wasn't for that same song playing over and over again...

As of the bugs, this game has plenty. Sometimes it would crash after clicking a button here and there. Sometimes, during saving/loading process, the game would not display some events correctly and even get you back a few steps on your current skills.

Still, the game is addictive and entertaining for long a time.

ADDICTING

I don't usually go in for these types of games (match 3) but tried it out of boredom. I can't tell you how many hours I spent finishing it. It totally grabbed me and I had to finish it. Give it a try! I have tried other match 3 games since and found this one to be by far the best!

The Count of Monte Cristo

Worked... for awhile

I downloaded this game and played it several times on my 5 year old Mac and it worked really well, no bugs or anything. Then we bought a new Mac and now the game won't even load. I have tried to re-download the game and it just quits before it begins. It is very disappointing because I really enjoyed playing this game even after winning it the first time. Save your money and get the Mystery Case Files instead.

Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate
 –

Madame Fate

This is an awesome game! The hidden objects can be quite challenging to find and there are hidden items to find in order to unlock more areas to play. The graphics can be a bit gruesome but fits in well with the carnival/freak show atmosphere. I have played this game beginning to end several times since buying it and have still not found all of the extra hidden objects. Also the challenges at the end of each level can be quite difficult. I saved most of my clues for these puzzles and a couple of them I still can't figure out. Overall, it is a wonderful brain stimulator and I would recommend it to anyone who loves the hidden object games with the mind puzzle extras.

Dodge That Anvil

Good for version 1.0

Game play is a bit inconsistent. No support for 2nd mouse button. Cannot keep on screen character still with mouse. Once character starts to "pick crop", cannot stop action to avoid being knocked out.

Bullet Candy
 –

Bullet Candy is very fun, retro-cool

This game is very fun.
The graphics can be set to lower resolution
for G4's with lower-end graphics cards and still perform great. (Mine is a ATI 9200 32MB) The lower OS requirements
worked for me too. (I still run Mac OS 10.3.9)
This makes me happy to find fun games from MGS that work great on my system.
If you have a higher end system it should work even nicer. For 4 bucks I can't complain.
It's like a hybrid of Tempest, Asteroids, and Robotron all mixed together.
The techno music makes it even funner and the
sound effects are very cool.
Very fun old-school gaming- Likely the best I've played on my Mac. Great eye-candy.

Only problem I've experienced is firing won't
stop since I've bought and played the Full version. I'm sure I'll find a solution or fix to it soon.

Build-a-lot

Strategy in Mind - Addictive

Its been awhile since I have played simulation type games. What makes this game addictive are the different stages of houses; their upgrades, their building values, etc. You start off with mostly $100k and 1000 supplies in each goal stage (career mode with 36 levels). Theres about 3-4 levels within a goal stage. These levels include, building 3 or 4 star homes (mansion, castles, etc) on premier lots. The game introduces new house or building type in each stage so you get a feel for the game. I recommend building one colonial and one tudor home in the beginning to get quick cash when you sell them.
Look out for house taxes and building repairs. Thats why you build a sawmill, a bank, and hire more workers to keep your cashflow going.
I could imagine different building expansions to the game or a sequel.
I didn't think this was like sim city 2000 and I am glad it didn't turn out that way!

Kudos Rock Legend
 –

Better than the first KUDOS

Rock Legends is a much tighter games than the first Kudos. Many avatars to pick from and up to 6 members in your band. Your goal is straight forwart "To Become A Rock Legend. It is still a sims game so that type must appeal to you to enjoy. Each band member has their own personality and traits which are fun. Instead of mini games you have the Songs Creation portion which is quite fun. Get more challenging as the band grows e.g. the expense of rehersal space and the band sounding off. I am still playing and having fun!

Hoyle Card Games 2008
 –

Ok game, but...

Both this game and the Hoyle Board and Puzzle Game are ok games. Nothing too exciting, but if you want a wide collections of card games and/or board games these are good. Beware that only the user who installs the game can play it. It is not possible for other logins to play. This is why I gave the game a "bad" overall rating.

Bad,bad graphics

I agree that the graphics are quite bad. Most objects that you need to use are only half visible. I honestly wouldn't recommend this game.

Cake Mania

This is a fun game. It gets really challenging when you have to add decorations and the customer wants more layers. Some customers are fussy, and some are patient. It's a lot of fun trying to make your baker goal.

Diner Dash - Hometown Hero

This one is fun, but it gets really hard too fast. I can't get past the 2nd level. I haven't tried the other diner dash games, but this one is very challenging. However, I'm going to keep trying.

IT'S ADDICTING!

This is FUN! The previous shopper sold me and I'm hooked as well. Even got my husband into this one. I usually like adventure or hidden objects but this takes agility and it's extremely clever and fast! You'll never get bored with this.

The Hidden Object Show
 –

Long but really bad

The graphics were the worst yet in a hidden object game and the format was obnoxious. I wanted to strangle the guy who keeps saying "you rock". There were even misspellings of the objects. Some you couldn't recognize at all and even when the "hint" showed the item you still couldn't tell what it was. There are a lot of hints however and the game is long. So if you have nothing to do at all at night buy this until another Dream Chronicles or similar comes out.
