Ancient Secrets: Mystery of the Vanishing Bride
 –

Not what you might think

I purchased this game because the first 30 minutes looked great and I have played other hidden object games so I thought it would be much longer. Boy oh boy was I ever wrong, It ends just when you collect the last of (Level 1) objects. Just when you think it starts to look good it ends and I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am. I only gave it 2 stars because it started off good that's all. This game is not worth it at all.

Amanda Rose: The Game of Time
 –

Surprising

I admit to being wary of this game as I tried the demo. Graphics are good but it is a still action type which can be a little dull but what a surprise! the game is good. some of the puzzles are harder than I expected and the whole thing is fun to play. Word tho - if you need a hint it takes a mo to work out how to use it.

Simcity

I think a lot of the issues were EAs bad roll out of servers. With the offline ability mode just introduced I believe people should reconsider their poor review on that piece. The game structure is similar to all of the old games, but it really does add a whole lot more. I have been able to connect my MacBook to Orgins, go in offline mode on that and then run the game whenever, to include not hooked to the internet. It has been a blast!

Virtual Villagers 4: The Tree of Life
 –

Enjoyable

Virtual Villagers 4 was an enjoyable gaming experience. There were a lot of puzzle elements to the game that were difficult yet fun to figure out. The generational aspect of the characters in the game was really cool as well. Well worth checking out this game.

Secrets of the Dark: Mystery of the Ancestral Estate
 –

Great game

I really liked that game. Lots of different locations and very good riddles. Easy to follow and with a hint button if you are stuck. I give it 5 points.

The Inner World
 –

Tiresome

Visually amazing, the puzzles are not that interesting or satisfying and the story is dull. You have to endure a lot of tiresome dialogue (fortunately skippable). I don't recommend it.

Campfire Legends - The Last Act Premium Edition
 –

Ok game.

Good game, but can't play all the way through. Freezes constantly and starts you back at the beginning each time. Loved the rest of the series.

Dark Dimensions: City of Fog Collector's Edition
 –

This is a good game

I like this game - puzzles are challenging enough without being too hard that you give in. Noises can be annoying but turn them down. This is a good game!

Napoleon: Total War™ - Gold Edition
 –

Glossy

Like a glossy magazine this game promises much but delivers little. Too much attention to graphics. The game play is poor in single mode with unit behaviours and performance lacking in historical accuracy. Controls are cumbersome.

Jewel Quest The Sapphire Dragon
 –

Terrible

Game will freeze and has to be restarted after playing 30 minutes or so. kept sending reports to Apple, but, nothing was resolved. Tried reloading th game, but got same results.

Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum
 –

Dull

Oh dear. Mouse was wobbly and the story never gripped. Strange sound effects did not help. It reminded me of other better HO games.

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World
 –

It's ok...

I believe this game was designed to make it harder to win a domination victory. It seriously hampers the warmonger in all of us. Some of the updates is cool and interesting but it makes the game harder. I don't mind the trade routes but it doesn't really tell you how things are going and what's going on with the upgrades.

Bored me

This is well drawn but dull. the puzzles were no real challenge. Shame as it looked promising. Shadows are creepy though!

The Walking Dead
 –

Took Getting Used To

Hello to all,

The Walking Dead surprised me. Playing mostly FPS for so long I wasn't expecting a story with choices, and with consequences. It took me the first episode to get into the mood but after that I REALLY enjoyed it. It is very socially oriented like the series, with the tension created by when will THEY attack.

No spoilers because anyone who plays needs the surprises.
