Problems

The setting is rubbish and car oversteer and understeer all over the place. The acceleration is insane fast like formula 1 car, and the brake is too much. The worest racing game.

A Vampire Tale

A Vampire Tale

The hidden objects can defnitely be a challenge...which is good, but some of them tend to blend into the background so having younger children play this game is not ideal. Also, there is quite a lag in between chapters and more talking betwen characters, then actual game/storyline

Dark Parables: Rise of the Snow Queen Collector's Edition
 –

Rise of the Snow Queen

SO much fun! This is the first Dark Parables game I have played and I am hooked. I love the different puzzles and hidden object games...great variety. And the storyline was such a great idea: it was wonderful to have such a new spin on old stories :)

Movement

If you play in the "old style" point and click its heaps easier.
I thought it was great - a blast from the past.

Endless Space - Emperor Edition
 –

If you liked Civ 3, you will enjoy this one.

A blend of Civ 3 and Masters of Orion 3. Plenty of choices for strategy, and a pretty good AI. The only thing I wished for was clearer documentation. I suspect that was because the original game was in French. If they had worked a little harder at clear translation, this one would be 5 stars.

Disappointed

Navigation is clumsy and movement is very jerky. After a couple of sessions, I got frustrated and a bit motion sick. Sorry I purchased this one. Too bad, because if it was easier and smoother to move around, this could have been a nice game.

Eschalon: Book III
 –

Fun, turn based game

I prefer turn based games, as they let you focus more on strategy and decisions than on reflexes. This one has some nice puzzles, and some challenging battles. By playing the game as "pure characters" (magic user, fighter, etc.), the strategies are different enough to make replaying with a different character a challenge. The ending is a bit strange, but better than the ending for Book II.

Crashes very often

I would like to enjoy this game, but the Mac version is so bad. Crashes all the time, even hangs the OS. No help with mouse over items, no idea what is needed to progress, no clue given on how to achieve basic tasks. Very poorly done.

A great addition to Diablo 3

This expansion pack is worth investment if you have the base game, the extra chapter in story mode and the adventure mode make for hours of enjoyable gameplay

Could have been better

The game never seems to strike a high point, upon completion I didnt feel the urge to play again.

That said, it isnt a bad game and was worth playing.

Nostalgic but limited

This game brings back memories, other than that it seems limited and not up to the same standard as comptempory games.

Perhaps I was just hoping for a little more.

1849
 –

Excellent intentions, good game, but still lots of room for improvement

The game comes to fill a great gap for city building games in the style of good-ol' Caesar, with "campaigns" rather than "levels" which one could finish very quickly. Instead, the missions in 1849 take considerably long time to complete, so one can really develop its town from scratch rather than getting an almost-built-up map which one has to manage a little and then the achievements are met. So for me, at least, given that I've been looking for a city-building games with long gameplay time, lots of building and developing of your city from scratch, not just brief time-management levels, it's really great.

I only gave it 4 stars and mentioned that there is still lots of room for improvement because of the following reasons.
- It's somehow annoying to click everytime on the icon for road or house (or whatever) building. I'd prefer the ability to build "lots", like click and drag over an area and fill that area with houses (or roads or whatever).
- I'd like to see bigger maps, huge cities, like Caesar used to offer from the very first level. Of course, the area that 1849 provides is enough to complete the tasks, but still, it would be much more entertaining (for me at least) to see a huge city, spread across many displays.
- It's somehow awkward that in some missions only the "required" buildings are available. As such, it's funny how, for example, a mission which has the main task to mine and sell gold, has no bakeries available for building and the only food that is available is via a trade, to buy as canned meat. So it would be nice for any mission to have the buildings from the previous one available + what is needed now.
- Continuing my previous point, the most important improvement that I suggest and which I think would make the game AWESOME is to have a "continuity" mode. What I mean is to have only one town and a "mission" to be just a set of goals *added to this map*. For example, you start with a plain field. The first mission is to get 30 inhabitants, the second to feed them and get at least 60% employment rate, the third to make 50 units of wine and make sure that all the houses have access to a Saloon and so forth. I know, there's Sandbox mode, but still, it would be more challenging to have it like I exemplified. In my opinion at least.

Other than that, as I said, the game is extremely well intended, well built and I foresee a great future for it! Go get it if you loved Caesar! Thanks and congrats to SomaSim!

Great Game

Great game. Never played a Ravenhurst game before. Very twisted. There is no way I would have gotten through the game without the strategy guide...some things were very obscure.

Roaming Fortress

Really Cool Game.

I found this game to be very good. Very lovely graphics with a lot of flare to it. There are so many options and upgrades in this game, it is quite amazing. The only thing is I have trouble at times trying to get all the 3 goals done for all the missions to get more points to unlock new equipment. Really Great Game for the price!
