Dark Angels: Masquerade of Shadows

Great game

Not your average ho game, this has adventure and battles and decisions to be made, will keep you guessing and the mini puzzles and ho scenes are nicely balanced while still being challenging, really great graphics and sharp storyline with an added bonus of speaking characters that don't make you want to hit the mute button...highly recommend it

Great world building

This game ran great on my mac; I had no problem with the graphics at all. The world was really beautiful and extremely fun to play around in. I'm not normally into shooters and had as much fun exploring the vast world as I did killing splicers.

Virtual Families 2

Not thrilled.

Thsi game has wonderful reviews, yet I can't enjoy the game like everyone else has. It is far too annoying to have to drag and drop the people to where you want them or onto specific items to do things but there is no way to know where exactly the spot you need to drop them on. Most of the time I fight with the game because dropping them onto the workspace in the kitchen (for cooks, etc) doesn't work. I gave up on this game a long time ago because it was so poorly created and edited via the developers. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it.

A Vampire Tale
 –

Pretty terrible

Have to agree with all the previous reviewers, it does get tedious and the HO scenes are hard only in that the graphics are not good enough for you to see whether you're actually clicking on something or just a fuzzy patch, the labels for things are sloppy so you either can't see the objects or you're guessing what they mean from the label. HO scenes aside it really is just jumping from HO to minigame with a poor excuse of a storyline in between. I've played better HO for half the price.

Calavera: Day of the Dead
 –

One of my all time favorites.

I'm not going to go into the details of the game. However, I enjoyed every minute. The music, the colors, the story were all first rate. Don't walk, run to get this fabulous game@

Whispering willows

I absolutely HATE this game and think it was a waste of my money. There is no reason for her wandering around with no way out of anywhere.

Okay

An okay game, but I got a bored with it pretty quick. I'm a big fan of simulation games, but maybe this one isn't for me.

Namariel Legends: Iron Lord
 –

Not a bad little game

Considering the price it's hard to get annoyed at how short it is...no replayability though, enjoy it while it lasts...no bonus content but the graphics are very nicely done and the animated scenes very good..what is confusing is that even after finishing the game there are still achievements which you haven't got...one in particular which is impossible as you have no interaction with the queen...on looking it up it turns out this part of the game is only available in the premium edition...hard to fathom then why it's in the standard edition...all in all a nice game but does leave you feeling a little short-changed.

Boring

The colours were overly bright, enough to put your teeth on edge...navigation was indeed quite clunky...probably fun for children but hard to engage in.

The Sims 3: Late Night Expansion Pack
 –

Not worth the price.

I am unahppy with this expansion pack. I have played The Sims over the years both the original version and The Sims 2 for PC. I purchased a Macbook Pro 9,2 a couple of years ago and there is nothign great about The Sims 3 on this computer. I have to reduce the graphics settings to minimal to get smooth performance. Since adding this EP I have had a lot of crashes.

For one, changing the resolution to 1024x768 crashes the game badly enough I have to force quit the game via the Activity Monitor. Changing it back manually via Options.ini doesn't fix the issue at all. I had to delete a file or folder to fix the problem.

The added items available for purchase in Buy Mode are nice though since I can't seem to get the features working that are new in this EP it's useless for me.

I do not like the paparazzi hanging around outside and some of them hecke the sims and it's just not fun to play because of those issues and more.

The Sims 3
 –

It's pretty good.

I played the Sims and The Sims 2 on PC years ago and when I bought my mac I had thought about The Sims 3 so I bought it. I enjoy the game very much, though there are some issues that prevent me from really enjoying it.

The game tends to take far too long to load. I have a Macbook Pro 9,2 and even with the upgraded 8GB ram and SSD it is just a bit laggy most of the time. I have to turn down the graphics settings to pretty much all minimal in order for smooth performance. I am not thrilled that the game is so limited in activities and there seems to be bugs that I can't yet pinpoint. I did purchase the Late Night Expansion Pack and while it is okay, it is definitely not what I hoped for when I purchased it. It provides some nice features of the game but I can't figure out how to go to a club or bar yet. And living in the big city is not as great as the promo makes it sound. It seems to take longer to get anywhere since you have to take a taxi to the subway then from the subway another taxi. Yes it's like real life for huge cities like NYC but no, this just isn't worth the price. I likely won't purchase other expansion packs until the prices drop significantly from where they are. I would love to have the Pets expansion pack and Generations but really, if the gameplay additions are the quantity and quality of Late Night, I won't be happy.

The default censor is annoying as it is gray and black with some clear in it and it just looks bad. They seriously could have made a nicer looking censor when the sims go to the bathroom, shower, etc.

Delicious - Emily's Tea Garden
 –

Addictive gameplay but...

Downloaded the demo..great game, very fun to play but not sure any of the 'delicious' games are worth the $20 price tag...especially given that this game is over 6 years old..and the graphics certainly show it

Divinity: Original Sin
 –

Great RPG

I bought this on Steam a while ago when it was on special. It's a great RPG with enough complexity, narration and exploration to keep you going for a long while.

I was a little unsure I'd like that style of combat (being turn-based) but actually it's great and the breadth of skills and variety of talents mean you have a great capacity to customise the experience (not even considering crafting and loot, too).

Graphically it's excellent, full settings ramped up on my MB Pro and it looks great, art-work and environemnts are superb.

Story-wise; there are great voice actors and the main story plus the myriad side-quests make for an interesting journey indeed. Full audio narration is available on the main quest and some other moments throughout and in main it's good. Certainly the story has kept me moving forward wanting to unravel what's going on (not finished yet).

Definetely worth it.

Endless Legend Emperor Pack
 –

Endlessly Amazing!

This is Quite Possibly... VERY PROBABLY... Okay, it IS Icebergs best offering to date!!!

IF you like Any CIV game or Might and Magic game this this is the one for you!!! It is a combination of both in a unique blend that I think you will find EXTREMLY entertaining and challenging! To say I am impressed with this offering would literally not be fair! Endless Legend is without a doubt my current favourite. I LOVE IT!!! Endlessly! (so far)

Given the graphics, challenge, game play, replay ability AND info above... I seriously doubt you are going to be disappointed!!!

The Sims 2 Super Collection
 –

Great bundle!

It's great to have the old sims back. Sadly, they missed a few expansions and some were major (Apartments) but, even without those few games. This is worth the money. It took too long to get to Macgamestore.com So, I bought this game off of Apples App Store the day it came out. If you are new to the Sims or just miss the old game.. This is a must buy.

Death Under Tuscan Skies: A Dana Knightstone Novel CE
 –

Interesting enough game

Interesting if a little slow, not so hard that you'll give up in frustration nor too easy that you lose interest, but ultimately my feeling is it's not worth the $20 price.

World Riddles: Secrets of the Ages
 –

Nice but boring

Mingle the two previous reviews and it pretty much sums it up. To begin with you're interested in solving the puzzle (I use the singular term as it is the same puzzle over and over with increasing difficulty levels..think sudoku but with blocks)...after the first hour you'll be bored...buy it if you like sudoku like puzzles don't if you're looking for any variety in your puzzle games...

Dark Parables: The Final Cinderella Collector's Edition
 –

It really is...Okay

Can't say I thoroughly enjoyed it...it was an okay HO game though far too easy, but in my honest opinion not that great and probably not worth the $14 price tag...didn't really grip me and the demo was enough...

Abandoned: Chestnut Lodge Asylum
 –

Not that great

Have to agree with the other reviewers for this game, dark and fuzzy objects, difficult to see at times, not that engaging game play.
