The Clockwork Man Icon
Very Good Game
by casual gamer, USA - Oct 10th 2010

This is one of my favorite hidden object/puzzle games. It was my first experience with panning scene controls. After a short adjustment time, I really liked the huge hidden object scenes available with these controls. The Victorian SciFi atmosphere is perfect for this story. Miranda and Sprocket make an appealing team. The hint system works fine, but If you need help with any of the puzzles, there are game forums and walkthroughs posted online. The game is not overly difficult, but a few puzzles were challenging. I really enjoyed this one, and am looking forward to playing the recently released sequel "The Hidden World".

Youda Sushi Chef Icon
Entertaining and Challenging
by Millner, USA - Oct 9th 2010

One of the better Youda products. I downloaded this game awhile ago and still come back and play it. The levels are progressively more challenging where some games falter. Fun music, good graphics, and realistic sushi items. Very enjoyable. Doesn't get 5 stars only because once you max out on the gadget upgrades earlier than I would want.

Monopoly Classic Icon
Exactly how it should be and more
by Millner, USA - Oct 9th 2010

This game is great. The animation, sound, and game play are all spot on for this classic. Very enjoyable and exceeds expectations for a virtual board game from your youth. Definitely worth a free 1-hr trial. I bought it and find it helps pass the time on trips.

Cooking Academy Icon
Meh
by Millner, USA - Oct 9th 2010

Really wanted to advance after the 1hr trial, so I bought the game. I haven't played it since. The mouse actions were difficult to perform on a Mac track pad.

Penumbra Collection Icon
Great horror games
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

Aside from some rather quirky UI issues (always a pet peeve of mine), these are some of the best horror games ever. The stories and ambience really get creepy. Don't fight...hide and run!!!!

Eschalon: Book I Icon
Could be so much more
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

The game really needs scalable graphics, or at least some screen resolution options as it's microscopic on my screen and blowing it up just blurs it out. If this was the early 1990s it'd hold up against the Ultima series...but it doesn't.

Guns of Icarus Icon
Fun for a quick pickup
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

This is one of those "I've got 15 minutes" games. It's fun and very challenging, but don't expect deep.

Machinarium Icon
Stunningly creative
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

What a blast to play and challenging too. The art, sound and story is charming as hell. My only major issue was the quirkiness of the flash-based mouse-interactions; they're a bit too specific and vague at times.

Torchlight Icon
Been there, done that
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

Graphically it's pretty, but there's not enough variety of character types or creatures to hold me - the rogue, fighter, wizard model is done to death. I've played plenty of Diablo clones over the years, including the Fate (by the same people I think) and this one didn't feel engaging or original. Still very playable though.

FATE Icon
Basic, but fun
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

Unlike Torchlight, I really liked this game when it came out. It was simple and basic as a Diablo-style clone, and cute ta boot. It's dated now, but still very playable.

Kult: Heretic Kingdoms Icon
Wanted to like this more
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

Story was interesting, but the gameplay and mechanics are a mess. I gave it a good shot - as did my wife - but the frustration with the UI quirks made me call it quits.

Geneforge 5: Overthrow Icon
It's still got some life
by Shaitan, USA - Oct 9th 2010

I think I've played all the Geneforge games; some not to completion due to their length. This is one is balanced and challenging. If you can overlook the dated graphics you'll be rewarded with a great RPG. That said, I'd really love to see Spiderware Software reinvent their UI - it's so 1990s!

Victorian Mysteries: Woman in White Icon
Fun, but very short
by Heather Macpherson, Canada - Oct 5th 2010

This was fun - I liked how you had to use the items uncovered in the HO sections to get through the rooms.

That said, it was a little too easy for my liking, and it only took me about 2.5 hours to solve. Plus, there were a number of characters who were introduced via the journal but who never had any bearing on the game play - the writers could have fleshed out those characters more or omitted them altogether.

Luckily, the price was right!

Veronica Rivers-Portals to the Unknown Icon
Save your money
by Kathleen Reid, USA - Oct 4th 2010

I was disappointed. There is no coherence to the narrative. The hidden object scenes were ok but there are repeating puzzles that become monotonous and annoying. It's difficult to follow the progress of the game. I keep trying to finish it but get bored quickly. I am trying to console myself that I got this one for free when I bought 3 at one time.

Emerald City Confidential Icon
Not so good...
by casual gamer, USA - Oct 4th 2010

I was intrigued by the story (dark side of Oz) but didn't enjoy this one. Too many visual glitches (Mac 10.6) and unintuitive game play.

Good game for puzzle fans

This game is all about the puzzles. The story line and cartoon graphics are fun. Put on your thinking caps and help Nelson Tethers - Puzzle Agent.

Great Game

Slightly different take on a hidden object game. Light hearted fun with great graphics. Good music and unique, challenging mini-games. Very enjoyable.

Robin's Quest: A Legend Born Icon
Excellent!
by Guri, USA - Oct 4th 2010

I usually don't play too many hidden object games but this one is stellar. Good graphics, storyline, etc. Well worth a look if you're into those type of games.
