A fine puzzle adventure game, with a fine story. You won't be completely lost in the puzzles, but they won't bee too easy either, hence a good balance.
My only complaint is that the cinematic sequences are REALLY heavily compressed, and thus VERY pixelated, which is quite a pity. My 6 year old daughter quite enjoyed playing it with me, although she got stuck on quite a few of the puzzles, so you will have to be older than her to play it alone. :P
A nice puzzle/adventure game, with a fine story, and a good mix of puzzles. They won't blow your mind when it comes to difficulty, but will have you scratch your forehead once in a while. A good casual puzzle game.
The cinematic sequences have been upgraded immensely compared to the first game, in that they are no longer pixelated to hell, which is a good thing. My 6 year old daughter enjoyed this game a lot, and it was a good bonding game to play, as she can't read yet. She did find it a tad scary at times, but not too much.
Bundles the game with the first few major DLCs, cheapest way to complete your collection
Crusader Kings III: Royal Edition bundles the base game with its first Expansion Pass, which in turns features the game's first major expansion (Royal Court) and two flavor packs (Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia).
This is the edition you want to purchase if you want to eventually get all the CK3 DLCs and save yourself some money, as it costs much less than purchasing things separetely.
At the time of writing (April 21st 2023) the only DLC you won't get by purchasing this edition is the minor Friends & Foes event pack. The upcoming Chapter II Bundle, starting with the Tours & Tournaments DLC, will release next month.
While Crusader Kings III as a whole is great, my rating here is impacted by the quality of the DLCs included in this package.
Northern Lords and Fate of Iberia are solid pieces of regional contents, adding much needed flavor to regions that would otherwise play the same as others. Where they're lacking is mainly in historicity: compared to similar CK2 DLCs there are pretty much no historical events that can trigger (this is particularly glaring and disappointing with figures such as El Cid, that exist in the game but do nothing), and the starting setups (characters, realms, laws etc) could be much better. Northern Lords also doesn't do enough mechanically to distinguish Scandinavia from other tribal regions, and Fate of Iberia, despite the interesting new Struggle mechanic, suffers heavily from a lack of polish.
Royal Court, the first major expansion, is generally regarded as a disappointing entry given how long it took to come out and its cost. The Court related mechanics are often repetitive and uninteresting (if not downright annoying because of poor event weighting and bug fixing), and the Artifact system, while fun to play with at first, is marred by an awful UI and tends to trivialize other aspects of the game. The best aspect of this DLC is the revamped Culture system, which is partially included in the base game, and that, well, has little relation to court life.
As a whole all these DLCs do a good job at improving the vanilla experience, particularly in featured regions, but the various issues I mentioned mean they're too expensive for what they bring. The Royal Edition solves this with its lower price, and WinGameStore adds to that with their usual competitive offering.
At first I was afraid the story would end soon, but luckily it turned out to be a long story with going to different places. Setting is Paris in the Belle Epoque area. Nice views of the buildings too and going to monumental places in Paris. I loved it!
Victoria 3 fills a niche within grand strategy games not filled by other strategy games. The focus on the economy is a great start for the game and I am hopeful with future expansions and update the game will become more complex. As of right now most countries feel the same and there is no "flavour" to playing any country except a few journals, as such the game is less enjoyable to repeatable play. The tools included in the game though is a great start to what might become a more expansive game. I would say this game isn't 100% finished yet but you can expect at least 50 hours into the game. Hopefully paradox will not repeat the slow progress in CK3 and will actually update more often. I like that the game also puts more focus on macro rather than micro as you will experience wars to be less meta-focused
This mod adds no new features or gameplay mechanics, it's basically a paid mod in my eyes as the features in it is just some events. I would expect the event to have in depth event chains but have yet to experience much of it. This should just have been included in another expansion but if you get this dlc in a collection its okay (I would say worth 1-2€)
Buy if you plan to play any of the included nations
The main focus of this dlc is mission trees and flavour. I would say to wait to buy it until you want to play in the region. Otherwise you wont really notice it. Best to wait for a big sale and first do the other flavour packs before going to this one. but the trees feel very nice and expansive
The quality of DLCs has gone up since Leviathan. What i appreciate is the desire to fix so many bugs, when they could have left the game as is and just released EU5. Worth even at full price.
Even though it started bad (and that was its downfall), in it`s current shape, even if "abandoned", i consider this a finished game if you factor in the DLCs. Not that much nation specific depth, but if you like the timeline, and buy it at a discount, it is more then value for money. This is with respect to the team that poured their heart in this game going the last mile.

Ok, this one is a money grab from the makers. I can get map is long and there is some new stuff going on but come on, it's a single scenario there! Not worth the full price, maybe at half price it will be a decentish deal.
Great game to play with a group of friends but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone wanting to play solo as the in game ai crew members can be hit or miss as far as how well they handle any given situation in a round.
