GRIS
 –

Really nice game that DOES run on my Mac

Despite the warning I see here, the Steam version of Gris runs perfectly well on my Intel Mac running a 64-bit OS (currently OS X 12.3.1).
On paper Gris (Spanish for "grey") is basic platforming game with moves such as double-jump and slam. But the evocative artwork, audio design, and emotional resonance make it more memorable than most games I've played in recent memory. Not to be missed in my view.

Nice pack for France and more agitators

The downside of Paradox being so generous with their base-game updates is that if you're satisfied with the agitator mechanic as is, and you're not interested in more French content, then you may pass this up.

However, if you want more content for playing France, this has some neat event chains and journal entries, even as the developers promise to flesh them out more. For instance, the monarchy journal entry is a good concept, but it can come with more jockeying between the factions.

It's also cool to have some more historical agitators, especially the handful who spawn via events. It helps make the agitator pool more memorable beyond the randomly generated figures.

Oh, and the pack does come with a bundle of additional character interactions. If you want more political maneuvering, you can promote an agitator to interest group leader, opening the opportunity for them to become the head of state. That's more room for roleplaying, not to mention law reform.

Finally: my man Garibaldi is iconic. Make sure to invite him when he's in the neighborhood and put him at command.

So overall, after the devs give more polish to the French flavor, perhaps this would be five star. As is, take it with some rough edges.

Stellaris: Galactic Paragons
 –

Highly recomended with a catch

This DLC adds more abilites as well as renown leaders to recruit to your empire.
If you want to give more personality to your leaders this DLC adds in spades!
THe thing is that it is very shallow in the sense that most of these leaders add relatively small modifiers to your empire. Not having the DLC won't matter much if you don't roleplay
Also the new origin is ok but nothing special.

Rescue Team 10: Danger from Outer Space Collector's Edition
 –

Nice game but technical frustrations

The game is similar to past Rescue Team games but the cursor does not line up with the objects, slowing the player down drastically as they hunt around to find the actual spot to click on. Too frustrating to bother buying at this time. (64-bit version)

Hidden Expedition: Uncharted Islands
 –

Reserved for Harvard graduates !

A game with magnificent graphics but which is far too complex to understand ! The diary is armored with texts of endless length and the inventory has three categories : The usual clues / Those to find and sometimes to join to the previous ones / And the Objectives to achieve...) Moreover, the Hint doesn't work permanently, but depending on where and when you are in the game. "Devil's Triangle" was already not easy, but this title is much more difficult. What's the point of playing a game where we don't know what to do half the time and where the hint doesn't help us ?!? It's a shame because the illustrations are really splendid....
