Airport Madness 3D: Volume 2
 –

Not bad, not really good

Well... Maybe taht's not my kind of game but I tought it was not bad, not good. That was not a bad time and that's better than nothing.

My Life Story
 –

Sim game with limited world

I bought this game years ago, shortly after purchasing my first computer and downloading Mac Games Arcade (as it was known then). The 1-hour trial was enough to leave me wanting more as I found the accrual-based (money, experience points, etc.) game play soothing. Unfortunately, the world of the game is very limited; although I enjoyed frittering away a little more time that first evening, this is not a game that I have revisited.

Mystery Trackers: The Secret of Watch Hill
 –

Promising story marred by linear game play

I wanted to like this so much more than I did! I've played trials of the Mystery Trackers game series before, but this is the first I have purchased. The graphics are slick, hidden object scenes are pleasing to the eye, the voice acting is decent, and the story has faint shades of Stranger Things (the Mimic design, the secret lab).
As is so common with these hidden object/adventure games that are churned out so rapidly, the story line is thin with barely any dialogue. In addition, the games suffers from extremely linear game play, and vanishing tool syndrome coupled with single-purpose tool syndrome (I need "something thin", but the tweezers, wire, file, and awl won't work; instead I have to find a knife. Also, once I use that knife, it disappears from my inventory and I then have to find a box cutter and a pair of scissors in order to cut something.)

Hearts of Iron IV - La Résistance
 –

ADD A LITTLE INTRIGUE...

And the game is way more interesting and depth increases. I love all things spy related and this is way enticing.

Sid Meier's Civilization® VI: New Frontier Pass
 –

THUS FAR...WORTH IT!

As much as I didn't like Firaxis/2k and definitely don't like Aspyr's communication strategies (Firaxis/2K seems to be changing philosophy these days though), with two packs revealed (with Gran Colombia, Maya and Ethiopia) thus far and one free patch, I am digging the new civs and the new modes. Looking forward to 9 more months of surprises.

Surviving Mars - First Colony Edition
 –

It's Kicking my butt and I like it

Haven't played much yet, but it is a really challenging game thus far and I enjoy that. Looking forward to the coming games.

Stellaris: Plantoids Species Pack
 –

Expected more but what it has is beautiful

If you appreciate the cosmetic stuff and new additions into the beautiful experience that is Stellaris, this is great to buy. I bought it on sale, which made it even better.

Stellaris: Humanoids Species Pack
 –

Cosmetic DLC but start a new game

Another cosmetic add-on which does give you more than Planetoids like music, for example. It does accomplish what it is good at: staring at the screen with beautiful new art and a new species.

Endless Space 2 - Lost Symphony
 –

New Good Music? Always.

I love music in my games and so far I have never chosen a game without good music. This adds several tracks that ups the game. A minor faction? A bonus.

Endless Space 2 - Supremacy
 –

On a more serious note...let`s rule

A meaty DLC for ES2 is always welcomed. I am not a warmonger usually, but I was intrigued by this one. Great content.

Endless Space 2 - Vaulters
 –

An oldie but a goodie

This is what I am taking about. Adds so much more to the game. Having the Vaulters is fun and the DLC is packed.

Endless Space 2 - Penumbra
 –

Intrigue much?

Love it. Being in the shadows and having that advantage when playing it fun. I need to play them more, but I liked what I have seen.

BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
 –

Nice presentation, but boring gameplay

It is a basic runner, going from left to right, while jumping, sliding, kicking, etc. each time an obstacle comes on screen.

It is presented very nicely, with good artwork, great narration, backgrounds and animations that have been caressed for...

But, ultimately, the gameplay just falls flat for me. I didn't find it very interesting. Way too simple for me.

Luxuria Superbia
 –

Is this a game?

So that was the weirdest and most psychedelic experience I've had, playing a game. Or was it a game? I don't know. You just click, trying to make four lines of color grow wide. At some point the game told me I lost? I tried again. I clicked more, that game liked that. I didn't.

Weird music. Colors. Eyes. Flags. Being inside a flower? If that's your thing, go for it.

Sid Meier's Civilization® VI: New Frontier Pass
 –

A bit underwhelming

Instead of a whole expansion, the new content for Civilization 6 is a collection of packs, release every two months or so, including some new civilizations, leaders, buildings, etc.

The first two packs are "fine", I'm enjoying the Ethiopian one, and the new "modes" (like official mods) are interesting, but... as a whole, it's not a "new frontier" for Civilization but new content to keep some players interest.

Bonfire Stories: Heartless Collector's Edition
 –

+/-

Some of the mini-games are trying new ideas and are quite fun. The bonus game is short and the puzzle to open the last vault made made NO sense at all and there wasn't information or skip. Don't buy the CE

Hearts of Iron IV: Waking the Tiger
 –

Heavily revamps CHINA and Japan.

This DLC is great for making the east Asia a much harder to predict conflict which makes WWII much more interesting.

Cities: Skylines - Parklife Plus
 –

Allows you to make your own zoo

I found this DLC ok. I think while making a zoo interesting and fun it feels inferior to games dedicated to it.
Alongside this the tools are a bit clunky and you almost have to fight them to do what you want.
That said when it works it makes your city feel very different

BATTLETECH
 –

Mecha strategy title. what more needs to be said?

You take control of a merc company in a universe that uses mechs to fight.
the tacticval combat is very detailed and makes for very interesting fights.
Graphics and animations are ok but the fun of the game is all about managing your company and your mechs. As you slowly advance through the story and build your own mechs the way you like them.
it is an excelent game for strategic enthusiasts!
