Very nice graphics and gameworld but bit tedious at times
I bought this game thinking it would be a kind of tiny bang story. It starts out this way, but gets rather tedious after a while. You end up running around from one point to the next or the previous without gaining any game momentum. I stopped playing the game halfway through.
I enjoyed this time management game very much. The gameplay is quite long. The only thing that bothered me is that you cannot see on the map how many stars you got on the intermediate levels. All normal levels have a gold symbol when you get 3 stars. The intermediate levels only indicate how many times you played them when you hover over them and the time you took and the points you got, but do not mention if this is a gold achievement or not. This is only indicated at the end of playing each of these games. Otherwise I have no qualms and rate this game very highly.
The story and the different settings of this game are entertaining. The only puzzles that I found less fascinating were the ones where you have to turn found objects 3 dimensionally so they fit in an empty slot. I didn't mind this at first, but this puzzle is repeated more than 10 times! Sometimes also very difficult to find certain things as you have to click on the exact millimeter where they are located. More variation would have made this an excellent game opposed to an ok one.
I used to have to wait endlessly for a sequel of Viking Brothers to come out or Rescue Team for that matter, but I've found this perfect alternative! Equally challenging and as soon as I'd finished it I bought New Yankee 9! The only problem is, that if you choose certain bonuses, they hinder you to get all your stars. E.g. if you have to kill a certain number of skeletons and you've chosen the bonus for them to move slower, you can never get the required amount even if you kill every one that appears, because there just don't appear enough at the slower speed. You cannot reverse your choices, so that is a shame. For the rest perfect time management game.
I've played other Dino Defense games and these were challenging but manageable. This is the first one where you can reverse the bonuses you've chosen, but even so it is impossible to pass the games midway through the 2nd level. You cannot continue the game as long as you've not at least succeeded in passing the prior game, so at a certain moment you are just stuck. I've tried a lot of different choices of bonuses & do not succeed. I have a lot of experience in tower defense games and this is simple no fun!
I've loved every Rescue Team I played and I've played them all! I like how the designers manage to introduce new challenges in every edition. It certainly doesn't get boring and stays very entertaining & addictive. My idea of a perfect time management game.
My only remark concerning this game is about the difficulty degree of the levels. As a veteran player of Viking Heroes I chose for the most difficult gameplay, but even then the levels are too easy. In the bonus game however, this is the reverse. It would be more enjoyable if the difficulty was more equally spaced, but still worth the money!
Comparable to Big Brother Rabbit and Tiny Bang Story. An out of the box hidden object game combined with good & challenging puzzles. Nice graphics. I thoroughly enjoyed this game & wish there would be more of this genre out there!
Good game as far as the storyline goes, but a lot of the puzzles are very farfetched. It is one thing to make a puzzle challenging but quite another to make it absurd! I stopped playing because it anoyed me.
What a joy to play this game. Very well thought out puzzles, entertaining and challenging. All games should be like this. I had a very enjoyable time playing this game. It is comparable to Varenje and the Tiny Bang Story but better. Congrats to the makers of this game!
I like Joe's games. This ons is a mixture of all his previous clutter games & ideal for the "I want to play something but don't have a lot of time moment". (You end up playing longer than you planned to anyway). Genres are grouped and you can easily play your favourites. As the set-up of each instance changes, you can play the same game over & over with a different set out. Very nicely done Joe!
This game is just as good as its predecessor. A multitude of very variating challenging puzzles. I am certainly going to play chapter 3 as well. Congratulations to the makers! This type of game is very hard to find and certainly at such an affordable price.
This game has an abundance of puzzles, each one very different from the one before. Even the hidden object puzzles have a lot of different mechanisms of how you have to find stuff. One of the better games I have played this year. I have immediately bought chapter 2, Enigmatis the mist of Ravenwood and am itching to play it!
This is a wonderful Indy game which is a bit out of the ordinary. A different kind of puzzle game, you have to think things through and it is not immediately clear what your goal is. The story is a bit vague and the voice sounds a bit bland, but the out of the box puzzles make up for this.
I have played tower defense games before, but I think this is one of the better ones. The only thing is that it is extremely difficult to beat the second chapter, so you might need to make several player id's and change your strategy, i.e. which features you upgrade with the stars you earn. Top game!
I've waited a long time for this sequel, but it is far less challenging than the previous games. Could have been great, but this makes it an average game.
Very simple to play but the challenges keep coming. Personally, the levels could have been made just a tad more difficult to complete. I like it when I have to repeat a level several ties to earn the 3 stars. Keep them coming!
Surpasses Resue Team 8. Thanks to the makers of this game to keep coming up with new challenging tasks. The 3-star target was more difficult to obtain in Rescue Team 8 though. I hope number 10 is on its way! Keep the rescueing coming.
So glad I discovered this series. I loved playing the Viking Brothers series and Roads to Rome and was looking for other time management series tht we equally as good. Found it! I am certainly going to play the others as no. 8 was the first I played. Good graphics too and easy to learn.
