I haven't had the chance for any game to play through in the last couple of years, due to lack of time and attention for games in general. But I played through this beast and even now, thinking about it, it's hard for me to tell why this game, because I played a lot of really great games but non of them caught me like this this one apparently.

Let me sum things up:

- Feral's done a great port again: runs fluid, no bugs for me

- You can play the levels as aggressive or stealthy as you like (got to mention that stealthy gameplay is rewarded by the game so it's not as free as the original if you were looking for this)

-the graphical fidelity is great as is the game design

-the levels give you quite some freedom to explore for sidequests, secrets and alternate solutions for main-plot quests

- You can't specialize your agent as you could in the original, but still you have to choose your perks to fit your playstyle and for my playthrough non of them felt wasted (but I got to say: You will have most of your perks available if you sidequest a lot and play all sneaky)

Well there is more but you should just find it out for yourselve.

Woth picking up full price

The port is really bad and hasn't been fixed since release. It runs ok on my 27'' maxed out imac 2011 but should actually perform way better. If you can live with the known issues (always-on DRM / sometimes it recognizes your keyboard and/or mouse, but you have to restart the game over and over until both work at the same time / the mouse feels unresponsive as the controls in general from time to time / it freezes your entire system if you hit the „^" button / sometimes you can't continue your game due to connection loss to the uplay server and ah yeah... always-on DRM) it's a game I really enjoyed playing. Pick it up, when it's on sale

For me it's even better than it's predecessor. Superb port, super responsive controls, great combat system, tons of content and even if your are no fan of the franchise, you will enjoy this. Worth picking up full price!
