Looks great in fullscreen

Simple control mechanism, once you get used to it.
It regularly creashed on launch under MacOS 11.6 Big Sur - something to do with the Unity player. But usually a reload would get it running.

Nothing extraordinary, but nice nonetheless

Yeah, it's another hidden object game, but it was really cheap on sale.

Didn't work on the Mac

It was billed as 'possibly' able to run on 64-bit systems, but didn't work on my 27" iMac under MacOS 11.1 Big Sur. Playing on Parallels made my GPU run really hot, so I finished the game under BootCamp on Steam. As a point-and-click game, I really liked it, especially wth the built-in hint system.

Finally found a compatible controller

I bought this game because of the fact it promoted controller support in Steam. I use a Logitech F310 wired controller in DInput mode for Mac games, but his game wouldn't recognise it. I then tried a MIcrosoft XBox Series X | S controller under MacOS 11.1, but these aren't yet supported by Apple under Bluetooth. The only configuration I could get to work was using Parallels Desktop with the Windows 10 version on Steam; and then the XBox controller had to be connected with a cable!

The game does function with keyboard inputs, but the layout was so complex and unintuitive that i was going to give up on the game before I got a controller to work. Now that it does, the game mechanics are much easier to manage, and hotspots can be found, and inventory items manipulated as originally intended. I am working through the game, and enjoying the story and challenges along the way.

Immersive and addictive game experience

This game plays really well on my late 2012 27" iMac with GTX 680MX graphics card (the minimumn recommended card) if I set resolution to 1280*720. You wouldn't guess that this is a low resolution, as the detail is stunning and frame rate excellent. The encounters and storyline mean that there's always something fun to do. I've put in SO MANY hours playing this game!

Tales from the Borderlands (Telltale Key)

Patch download required

Great game, with professional voice actors and a quirky (aka cinematic) storyline. Do be aware that a separate download of the game (it's called a 'patch', but is a full replacement of the app) is required before you can download any more than the first episode. I bought this on June 16 2015 from MacGameStore, and it would be nice if they could update the purchased image so that we aren't forced into another 2 GB download immediately after purchase.

Another option might be to NOT download from MacGameStore, but just register the code at telltalegames.com and download directly from them.

Nonetheless, I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes a well-constructed story with the possibility of affecting the outcome thrown in!

P.S. This game in full-screen has a tendency to crash if another app starts or the screensaver kicks in.
