City of Heroes Mac Special Edition
 –

good game but crashes are all too common

It's a great game. An MMORPG where you don't always have to have 100 friends online to level. The choices of costume/character are plentiful and so far, the game seems well balanced. The drawback is, the game crashes and freezes all too often. When it freezes in a mission instance, you never know if you will just have to start from the beginning, with your progress saved, or if you will have to do it ALL over again. This is particularly frustrating on the timed missions. The tech support folks say they are working on it, but an update is needed now, not later.

FATE
 –

Diablo II in 3-d

It's Diablo II, in 3-d and with really boring, repetitive dungeons. The graphics are VERY good, but the levels are all the same....a run through a dungeon. DO NOT FORGET to bring a return to town scroll or tome with you. Loot is not well scaled to the levels. However, if you need a way to spend an hour, it can be quite fun.

Kivi's Underworld
 –

Another Diablo II clone with 3-D

This is obviously based on Diablo II. Unlike "fate" this one has, gasp, a plot! However, the graphics are NOT as good, and they've completely left off the loot system. The "secret" doors are sorta fun, unless you're trying to find the last one and have run that area of the dungeon over and over....

Eschalon: Book I

Nice graphics, slow play

For a turn-based game, the graphics are quite nice. However, that said, the play is slow, and at times boring. The character classes are not very evenly balanced, with some powerful and some so weak you will die over and over again. However, for the price, it's about right.
