Warlock 2: Wrath of the Nagas
 –

DLC overpriced

I bought Warlock the Exiled as well as this in the sale. Adds the Nagas plus new units and characters into the game, but the main thing is it adds water to the land mass as well which requires different strategies. Good addition to the base game. The thing is I would never have bought this DLC if it was full price.

Warlock 2: Spectacular Spell Pack
 –

OK but not necessary

Got this in the sale, adds new spells which expands your repertoire but in my opinion, doesn't add much to the gameplay...

Battle Fleet

Lacking...

OK game to pass the time but gets boring and repetitive very quickly, glad I didn't pay for this as it was free...

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues
 –

Nice Game

Really nice crisp graphics and animations, runs great on my Mac. Gameplay is excellent especially when you plug a gamepad in and play two players. My little boy loves the Lego Series of games so was very happy he can now play with me on the mac. My main problem now is resisting his pleas to buy more games in the series lol.

Heroes of Might & Magic V
 –

Old game that still delivers

I bought this in one of the sales and am so glad I did. I'd already dabbled in the Kings Bounty series so knew what to expect. I much prefer this tbh and unlike a lot of people have had no problems running this game. Not greatly optimised, but ok nonetheless.

I see a lot of people have had problems running this with Mavericks and am so glad I run 10.7.5 on one hard drive and Mavericks on another one as I had the same problems launching in Mavericks.

Brilliant!!!

If you own Unity of Command buy this expansion. Doubles your game time, no compromise in quality and well worth the money...

Unity of Command - Red Turn DLC
 –

Great!!!

If you own Unity of Command buy this expansion. As already mentioned in my Black Turn review there is no compromise in quality and if you can pick up Unity of Command with all the DLC's in the sales it really is a no brainer...

Tomb Raider: Underworld
 –

Pleasantly surprised with this

Haven't played any Tomb Raider games in a while, if you love the originals then this game is for you. Think of it as graphically enhanced, with better controls with the usual fiendish puzzles and combat. Picked this up in one of the sales, well worth buying...

Wargame: European Escalation
 –

Underrated RTS that delivers

Really enjoyed playing this, a lot slower than a lot of RTS's. Units all seem authentic and you can tell a lot of time and effort was spent by the developer on getting everything as authentic as possible. Graphics are good and gameplay is excellent had no problems running this on Max settings. I know there have been two updates, (Airland Battle & Red Dragon), since this was released, but this game has come down so much in price it's really worth buying, especially if there's a sale on.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition
 –

Everyone should own this...

This is one of the best games I've ever played. Period.

Everyone else on this site has gone into more detail than I will about the plot etc. All I will say is this port is spot on, runs fantastic on my mac and the gameplay, story and world this game is set in makes hours fly by. I've played a lot of games in my time and it's so nice to have that, "one more go factor ," return again. You finish a mission and think I'll save this and go to bed. Then what happens is you do save the game but think I'll just talk to this NPC, oh I'll just go here do this and guess what? It's almost time to go to work. Long time since a game did that to me!

Batman: Arkham Asylum
 –

Fantastic game...

Best super hero game out there by a long way. Bought this ages ago and as soon as I started playing it recently I couldn't put it down till I finished it. Great graphics and so well optimised, which is not something I say about a lot of Mac ports!

No Brainer, this is a must buy title, will be getting Batman Arkham City which is supposedly better than this one.

King Arthur II
 –

Disappointed

The idea behind this game was so promising but not very well executed.

Think Total War with magic spells added, that is the premise of this game.

The thing that kills this game for me is the scrolling with the mouse wheel when in battle, absolutely atrocious. The camera is so messed up you end up giving up. Even changing the settings makes no difference, Avoid.

Unity of Command
 –

Armchair Generals will love this...

Bought this plus all the DLC in one of the sales just thinking I'll give it a go, cheap game and all that. Can't put it down! It looks quite simplistic as turn-based games go but the devil is in the detail. I see that other reviewers on this site keep trying to compare it to other past games they have played or seem to want this game to be like, but I have taken the attitude that it is what it is.

It's really easy to get into and the more I played the more depth there was, easy to learn hard to master! The people behind this game obviously know their World War II history as all the units and battles seem to be present and correct. Think of this as chess with a lot more moves...

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
 –

Blizzard puts its wrongs right...

This must be the best DLC, or should I say upgrade, I have ever purchased. I was very sceptical about buying this as I put countless hours into Diablo 3 when it was launched and hated the way the Auction House worked. There was always only one way to get loot specific to your character, the AH. I never ever got a really good drop through just playing the game!

Reaper of Souls has added a new ACT, got rid of the AH and the loot system has been completely overhauled. Specific drops, relating to the class you are playing, is now where the focus is. Also have levelled up a Crusader to max, the new class in Reaper, great fun. Another great addition is the adventure mode. After playing through the campaign, this option really freshens up the game as going on these quests completely randomises the game and is a great way to spend 20-30 minutes, depending on the difficulty, to get better drops. There are a lot of reviews around that go into more detail about all the changes which I am skimming over.

This really is how Diablo 3 should have been like on launch. So my big gripe with this is the cost. For DLC, upgrade etc, price is a bit high. I did take the plunge eventually due to playing the last patch in Diablo 3, Pre-Reaper, which added all the changes. Although the adventure mode, Crusader and act 5 weren't available. The new loot system alone refreshed the game enough for me to commit.
