Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse
 –

not as good as shadows - but still awesome!

The only reason this game wasnt as enjoyable to me as the shadow at the waters edge was i really enjoyed the storyline of the former. this storyline was intricate and fun too, but i think i enjoyed the japanese mini games like sudoku more than the board games of this one - even though the raid minigame was a great game - i would sometimes just stop my detective work just to play a round!!!! i find each new nancy drew gets more challenging, which is fantastic.. if you liked shadow you will love this game too. cant wait for the next one!

great game - a lot of focus on tornados!

As most nancy drew games - you learn a lot about the subject matter that you are working on in this point and lick adventure puzzle game. the mini puzzles were generally fun and the story was interesting - but i did not find much challenge to a few of the repetitive minigames; like the mouse trap. not my favorite of the nancy drew series - but each game is getting progressively better - and this was no different! DEFINITELY worth the time and money - this game was the reason i started playing nancy drew games - now i have played them all several times! - plus with its Junior AND senior game-play options and the ability to complete the case without passing all the challenges, you find new puzzles and tricks each time you play!

excellent point and click! a HUGE improvement from Trail of Twisters

this game is exactly what ive been waiting for. Its a classic-type point and click - the objectives are hinted but still challenging. not too scary (which i find a lot of the best point and clicks are too intense for me!) but still intriguing. the only reason i have a pc still is for gaming - and seems like the new generation of mac point and clicks are here! this is my favorite nancy drew - ive played them all. totally worth the money and time. ive played it twice already! also love how it doesnt hinder you to complete certain tasks out of order... and some things dont even need to be completed to solve the whole thing - so you can play differently each time and received different awards at the end based on your new game-play!

great game, a little short

as an avid lover of adventure puzzle games, i find many "hidden object" games disguised as adventure. This is a true classic-style adventure/puzzle game. the story is fun. the only trouble i ran into was that i tend to search around and pick up things very early on and this skipped the game ahead too far and i was stuck after 1 challenge, since to finish i had to contact someone that was unavailable since i finished a challenge too soon, that wasnt in the chronological order of the game - complicated way of saying - i had to restart the game and followed the order and it was fine... thats my only issue i found.. also the game was over really fast. wish it had been longer. they need to make more games like these for mac.
