I love gangster related strategy games which are few and far between. I remember playing Gangsters for the PC years ago and that was a flawed, if cool game. Omerta brings up similar feelings. It takes an awesome theme - Prohibition-era Atlantic City and has some cool game elements like the strategic "mob business" operation side plus the tactical combat side but the execution is less than stellar and the game is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. Combat is fun but clunky; running a mob empire is little more than building a few key businesses and when the money faucet starts running it's impossible to turn off. There's basically no rival gang element and the police threat is a joke. Overall a truly disappointing game that is still fun to play but has little long term value.
