Danger Next Door
 –

TERRIBLE graphics

The graphics are extremely unappealing — even gross. The dialogue and journal are chock full of grammar errors — I hope no children read them and learn poor grammar!

The Raven – Legacy of a Master Thief Deluxe Edition
 –

ENDLESS DIALOGUE.

This game might be great, but it takes hours and hours of mindess dialogue. Even if I click on an action, the fulfillment of the action has to be preceded by a stupid comment by the character.

Rage: Campaign Edition
 –

Not worth it.

Lots of minor issues, all of which add up to real frustration. Not good on Macintosh. No narrative cohesion. Random, aburpt, non-linear. A disappointment.

COGS
 –

Well worth it.

This is a very challenging game to stretch your spatial and abstract thinking. For adults - teenagers would be bored.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent
 –

Well worth it

This game is much better than most point-and-click adventures. Spooky, scary, but the movement is a bit nausiating if you get motion sickness.

DOOM 3
 –

OK, but....

This game is incredibly similar to Quake. If you have one, don't bother buying the other. Apparently one company bought the other and continued the franchise, but by using the same plot and graphics as the other game. To sell both as different games is rather dishonest.

The Book of Unwritten Tales
 –

Do not purchase.

The plot is fine, the dialogue is very clever. But the puzzles are incredibly tedious. INCREDIBLY tedious. This games moves slower than a republican offering food to a dying child. The characters mosey along, even when they claim to be on an urgent mission. The pace is absolutely ABSURD. If you click on an item, the character will very, very slowly walk all the way around it in a full circle before picking it up. It is MADDENING!!!

Samorost 2

Wonderful!

The game is awfully short, but it is well worth the money!

Machinarium
 –

Excellent, and very very challenging.

This is not one of those typical teenager games. the puzzles are very difficult. The game is well worth the money. Much better than typical ridiculous point-and-click games.

Excellent.

Simple, soothing, but challenging. The music is good. The artwork is excellent.

The 7th Guest
 –

Much better than the newer garbage.

The puzzles are challenging, the plot is reasonable and logical. Best of all, there is NONE of that asinine, absurd, teenage hidden object crap in it. Just good puzzles and a good plot.
