Way too easy - too much focus gathering resources instead of building
Moai used to be a great and for the most part challenging building TM game. However, this new one focuses way too much on just collecting resources and trading them for other items. Very often all buildings are already in their max. level and you just have to repair them and wait to collect the resources you require to trade for, e.g., rum. I liked the pirates though and the way they intefered with your buildings, i.e., blocking them until you pay them off. What really annoyed me on the other hand, was that there wasn't a strategy guide This is one of the key features of a collector's edition. Overall, it is ok, but it has become just way too easy to beat every level in gold and I have the impression that the devs just wanted to get a new version out quickly, and therefore, were willing to compromise speed for game quality and features
The brothers are back in town or rather in the tree. Number 6 of the series doesn't really offer anything new in terms of game play, nevertheless, I enjoyed it very much. And I really like their new squirrel friend
12 Labours of Hercules IX: A Hero's Moonwalk Collector's Edition
12 labours is a really good game series, however, with this being the 9th instalment of the series and nothing new in it, there's a certain fatigue when playing it and I only find it ok. Furthermore, I"m not a fan of the new interactiuve guide. It is too much hand-holding for my taste. Other than that, the game play is smooth and I think that players who are new(er) to series might certainly enjoy it
Alicia Quatermain 4: Da Vinci and the Time Machine Collector's Edition
Well, the game's surely enjoyable with some nice new features, but the resolution issue is extremely annoying and takes away a lot of the fun: the game field is normal sized, however, dialog boxes and resource information are tiny and extremely hard to read. And I don't wear glasses. So you lose precious seconds trying to decipher objectives (some only appear once you have solved other objectives). I hope they fix this issue soon, high resolution screens won't go away. Other than that, it is a nice addition to the series and I look forward to more installments.
One of my favorite time management series is back. It's better than the last one which had a few glitches and was much slower paced. The only thing that I did not like about this new one is that they introduced the new feature, which I really liked, quite early in the game. This gave the whole game a bit of a repetitiveness rather than a gradual buildup of new things and difficulty. Overall, though it's a great game and I enjoyed playing it and will surely do so again
Unfortunately not as good as usual—edited: update didn't help
EDIT: I"ve downgraded score to 1 star. The game itself would still get 4 stars but the update didn't help with the glitches. I needed 3 tries to finish bonus level 2 and am not able to finish bonus level 18 even after several tries. ——— I have all the Rescue Team games and love especially 4-7. Unfortunately, this one feels like a rush job. The text in the scenes in-between have a lot of mistakes and the levels don't seem as elaborate as in the previous games. There are some glitches in the bonus levels that even prevent me from finishing the game, e.g., I had to collect all necessary fuel in the 2nd bonus level before I could send the helicopter otherwise it would get stuck after the 2nd rescue. The same happens later, I think in level 15 or so. But there it doesn't even help to have all fuel. The heli gets stuck. So I am disappointed with this and hope that the devs will fix the glitches. Then I would give it 4 stars
I liked RT 1-3, though from RT4 onwards they became really great esp. with multi-click mode and the new graphics. Felt like almost completely new games. No. 7 now has a more elaborate story and is just plain fun with the right level of difficulty
