Dungeons 3

Great Dungeonbuilder

Well as the title says, this is a great dungeon builder. The single player campaign is extensive and well rounded. The difficulty slowly increases while you learn new features and gain new creatures.
The story is written with a lot of dry and sometimes really silly humor. It pokes fun at all the usual videogame and fantasy tropes.
All together a really fun and worthwhile experience.

Sid Meier's Civilization® VI
 –

A true strategy game

This is a worthy successor of the civilization line. The comical art style is strange but you get used to it.
The idea of city districts is a good addition to the over all game play.

The Last Door Season 2: Collector's Edition
 –

Have you seen the yellow sign?

Well even though the clear connection of the game with the Hastur mythos of the Chambers fantasy is obvious the game does not directly show anything clear enough.
All together this is a great story driven game with a sublime horror aspect that I had great fun in exploring. As with all of these point & click adventures, the big question is "what are the puzzles like". Well from my experience the puzzles are not that difficult or weird. You should be able to solve most of them without getting your brain into knots or using a walkthrough. They indeed help the story rather than frustrate the player.

Mishap 2: An Intentional Haunting Collector's Edition
 –

Nice little game

Very nice little game with the interesting addition that you can search for ghosts in with a different view on every screen.

All together, the whole thing works very well and every game mechanism does so too.

Machinarium
 –

A beauty

This truly is a beautiful game. The hand painted sceens are a joy to behold and everything seems to fit together very well.
The only thing that makes the game fall short of a 5 star review are these two facts:
1. Its just too short - too little game time.
2. some of the puzzles are only solvable with a walkthrough.

Borderlands 2
 –

Co-op fun like nothing else

Well this game is everything a Co-op shooter should be. Flashy graphics, nice weapon handling, cool and distinct characters, quest sharing and everything else.

If you want to have a good time playing Co-op, play this Borderlands 2.

Great Monster Trouble

Works

Well this is a average tower defence game with ok graphics and nice gameplay. The difficulty rises pretty quickly and so I have never been able to finish this game.

Worlds of Magic
 –

Master of Magic in 3D

Well as the title states, this game is the old master of magic in 3D. All the good things of original can be found here. So if you liked Master of Magic, you will like this game too.

The only "problem" with this new version is the only thing they have changed form its predessor - the 3D graphics. They are nicely done and pretty colorful but tragically this really, to a degree at least, takes away the easy overview you had in the old Master of Magic. It is now way more difficult not to overlook a crucial mapicon.

Chocolatier 3: Decadence by Design
 –

Sweet, sweet chocolate

Ah, this is a game for everyone who loves chocolate. Just the unique creations you can make by combining different incrediants have inspired me to try stuff like that in real life.

This is just simply a game I can enjoy whole heartily.

THIS IS IT!

Yes! Finally! YAY!
Finally someone made a new and even better version of the old masterpiece Dungeon Master. This time around you do not only battle underground in your own dungeon but also above the ground, taking cities and wiping out enemy strongholds. :-)
The story is so filled with puns and jabs at the fantasy genre that there were missions where I had trouble concentrating on the mission objective because I just couldn´t help laugthing.

In summation: I endorse this game!

Battlestations: Midway
 –

Nice try in simulation

Well, this game really tries to simulate the complex World War II warfare. As far as games go, the game seems to find the balance between simulation and playabillity.
Sometimes the controls are rather strange, but one can get used to it.

Anyway, this game is good, but you have to give it a bit of time to get used to the controls. Be prepared to replay some of the missions over and over again.

BioShock 2
 –

Finally a BIG daddy!

Even though this game is rather similar to the first Bioshock, it still is great and fun to play. The story, again, plays out in the underwater city of rapture where uncontrolled DNA experimantation has turned most people into insane mutants.

For the first time you play as a Big Daddy to save the little girls that are being used to harvest 'adam'.

Anyway if you want to know more of the incredible story, play for yourself.

DOOM 3
 –

The Beginning

Or in other words: The first game that successfully used bump mapping and displacement textures.

This game is a beautiful and scary shooter that really everyone should have played at least once in their life.

Endless Legend Emperor Pack
 –

Wow, just wow!

Really this game has it all:

- Civilization-like settling and city building.
- Tactical combat.
- Research that actually is vital to your civilization.
- Army equipment editor.
- Diplomacy (even though that feature is maybe the weakest point in this game)
- Quests
- Extremely different playing factions.
- Science-Fantasy setting that gets a lot of its lore from the world of Endless Space.

Together Endless Legend is one of those games that anyone who has interest in roundbased strategy should buy and play.

Tasty Planet - Back for Seconds
 –

Tastes like vertigo

What can I say about this game?

You play a strange little blob that eats and eats and eats and eats and eats.

While the blob it eating he grows and grows and grows and grows and grows.

This doesn´t sound like much but is in fact fun and sometimes really difficult (because you have a time limit on each of the levels). A waring though: I know someone who got vertigo from playing this fast paced game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
 –

Finally a good Superhero game!

Yep that about says it. This is a good superhero game.
I never thought I´d see the day this would happen but here it is. :-)

Anyway, if you like the caped crusader in his best dark knight persona, if you like dystopic cyberpunk settings, battling strange and weird enemies with a hero that takes himself very seriously and much much more, than you have to buy this game.

Trust me, you wont regret it.

BioShock Infinite
 –

Unbelievable

What can I say? This game is beyond words to describe. It is ... it is ... hm ...
It is fantastigantic? supermegatonic?

In about 20 years of gaming this is the most beautiful game I have ever played. Even the graphic setting, style and fell of this virtual world is like a strange dream, that when you wake up you can only remember in a loose mix of serene pictures and story fragments.

Buy it! :-)

The Wolf Among Us (Telltale Key)
 –

Storytelling like it should be

This game is like watching a great movie in which you control the main plot developments. Anyone who likes a comic-style, a bit melodramatic and very well thought out story with a bunch of twists and turns, should definitively buy this game.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition
 –

Nice but not perfect

This is a stylish but simple hack & slash game set in the great Star Wars universe.
Character development is simple and a bit bland, but the combat mechanics are fun.
The game is a bit short but for the time it lats, its fun to play.
