Avadon
 –

Avadon 5 Stars

If you are a fan of CRPGs and Spiderweb software and their games like Avernum or Old School Blades of Exile, you'll be right at home with Avadon.

It is like the other Spiderweb Software CRPGs- great gameplay, well thought out storylines, great plot, good graphics and very entertaining.

It plays like the other Spiderweb Software titles too, and I love the character development and exploring the world and engaging with NPCs and combat with enemy entities.

Back to the Future: The Game
 –

Back to the Future Telltale game is a dream come true

For all you Back to the Future fans, in this adventure game you get to be Marty McFly, the game takes place after the movies and you get to dictate what happens and solve puzzles and become part of the plot of Back to the Future post movies.

Great graphics, great voice acting withe most of the original cast from the movie. The game is very engaging and entertaining at the same time. you just point and click and make decisions and watch the game play out.

A definitel must have for Back to the Future fans!

Good Action RPG

If you like Diablo series RPG, then you'll like this game.

Action RPG with hack and slash, lots of mouse clicks.

Plays very similar to Diablo II and III.

Great indie RPG and a good price.

Good graphics, great gameplay and easy learning curve.

Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition
 –

Assassin's Creed for Mac could have been great but . . .

The game could have been great if they done wine the right way and included gamepad support.

The game has potential- great graphics, big world, great plot but playing on the keyboard and mouse is not ideal for certain segments in the game, such as running and scaling to the top of the church bell town, which I find is not doable without a gamepad.

The game is broken and not supported on Mac OS X Sierra or High Sierra.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
 –

Lord of the Rings game never lets you down

Love this game, playing solo or multiplayer.

The game runs well on my MacBook Pro- it has excellent graphics and the controls are great- with support for gamepad.

Love the multiplayer option, but wish they offer hotseat multi player support on 1 Mac.

A definite must have for Lord of the Rings fans of the movies, books, and games.

I can play this for hours and still find it exciting.

Great plot and story line too.

This War of Mine
 –

A game of non violence that is engaging and challenging and fun too

This War of Mine is not your usual war game. you have to learn to survive and protect others via cunning wit, street smarts, and bravery - and all without violence.

Great graphics, engaging gameplay and storyline. The game really pulls you in, and without realizing you've just played 2 hours of it, trying to survive in a wartorn world.

LEGO Batman
 –

Lego Batman is a great addition to the LEGO games franchise and the Batman franc

This game is fun and I enjoyed playing it with my brother and can be played solo in which you take control of both players like any other Legos games. It is a fun game for all ages. Love the graphics and gameplay on gamepads. And this game is inexpensive and has a lot of replay value.

Rome: Total War™ - Gold Edition
 –

This game is fun and takes some learning to be fully enjoyed

This Total War series is famous and this is one of the originals that started it. I played the tutorial and I loved it. It did take some getting use to like any strategy game. You got to learn how to control units, rotate camera, etc. There is a learning curve and once you learn how to fully utilize the game, it is all fun and smooth sailing.

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition
 –

Dragon Age Origins is one large epic RPG and is fun!

I just finished the prologue beginning quest in which my whole family got wiped out and betrayed and I joined the Legendary order of the Grey Wardens to fight the great evil. The controls are easy. You pause the action and select what to do and unpause to continue. the controls are easy. The game was a huge download but worth it. I can't wait to get more into the story. wow.

Call of Duty: Black Ops
 –

The ultimate call of duty game for the Mac!

Love the single player mode which follows the storyline of a U.S. Agent through self sacrifice and heroics gets stuck behind enemy line in Cuba and has to fend for himself and survive Russia prison camp, etc. The story line is like straight out of a spy movie. . . wow!

Multiplayer is fun too! But it is only limited to Mac on Mac gaming - no Mac to WIndows multiplayer but that doesn't take away the fun, still a vibrant community of mac gamers playing on line in multiplayer, so. . .

Graphics, cinematics, sound, music and controls are top notch.

Dispite my Mac mini w/ Radeon 6630 HD having only 256MB Video memory - it still can play the game well even though it didn't meet the minimum requirements due to not having 512MB video memory.

Get this game and get the dlc addons to fully enjoy the game!

Game on my Mac brethren!

Heroes of Might & Magic V
 –

If you are a fan of the classic Heroes of Might and Magic series, this is a must

In the 1990s, I used to play Heroes of Might and Magic 2 and later 3 with my brother and we play in hotseat multiplayer mode and this game retained all the fun of past Heroes of Might and Magic series plus updated 3d graphics!

There is a problem with saving game progress but the solution to it is to manually make a folder named "Saves" in :
~/Library/Preferences/Heroes of Might and Magic V Preferences/p_drive/My Documents/My Games/Heroes of Might and Magic V/Profiles/profile_name/Saves

The graphics are excellent, music is tops and the fun value is priceless.

Basically you get a hero and you need to build up troops and fortify and complete tasks in the alloted time.

Very fun! This is a strategy game with RPG elements and it is a very good one like its predecessors.

Ravensword: Shadowlands
 –

This is a very good game with potential to be even better!

If you like Skyrim on the PC, this game is a Skyrim like game for the Mac, ported over from the Ravensword:Shadowlands for iOS.

The graphics are pretty good and the gameplay is easy. Based on the skill you use, the more you use it, the better you get at it. For example I use swords a lot rather than bow and my sword skills improved over time, making me a very proficient swordsman. I managed to level up by just hunting wild boar and deer initially but i soon went on the hunt goblins.

In this game you eat, so I recommend going out of the town and hunt wild boar- you get pork and boar hide and you can sell the excess and save the food for yourself instead of buying food in town.

I leveled up to level 12 and i completed the side mission by attacking a goblin camp and recovering the item the blacksmith needed and I also got the mage who was trapped in the jug out by getting fairy water by the caverns inhabited by giants.

I also recommend you guys to practice the stealth skill, i will come in handy for evasion or sneak attacks.

You also get to craft items and enhance items with gems and other things but I myself haven't got to that point yet.

The game is very good- great graphics, fairly good controls, great view options, easy learning curve to play, and adequate challenges and it is fun.

My only complaint is the occasional lag in certain parts of town, and to improve performance, turn down to view distance and the game will run more smoothly- I hope the developer will patch this great game in the near future to further improve performance.

Eschalon: Book I
 –

Excellent gamer for old school RPG fans!

If you grew up to games like Ultima III and games of that genre, you will feel at home with this game. It is turn based and you only control one person- your altered ego in this game in the character you create. The game has time and it will switch from day to noon to night. You get the option to camp and rest. Surviving a battle is based on your tactics and choices you make. Leveling up takes a little effort, as long as you survive battels and heal, you will be ok. At the beginning of the game, i fought wild animals and i like to stay near the well to drink water to heal. Avoid travelling during nite time if you are a beginner and camp and rest until daytime for safety reasons.

If you like the Spiderweb RPG games like in Avernum series, you will love this game.

The graphics are pretty good, and the music adds to the atmosphere of the game. For $6.95- this game is a game value.

Jets'n'Guns Gold
 –

This shootem up is one of the best ones I have seen on the Mac

This game has excellent graphics and great controls and excellent music! Just blast and blow up everthing on the screen and avoid getting hit or damaged and when you beat a stage buy upgrades for you jet. That's it.

Very fun and entertaining and simple too. It's a good way to pass time.

Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition
 –

Batman Arkham City Game of the Year Edition is a gem!

If you are a Batman fan, this is a must. Batman Arkham Asylum is a excellent game and this game is even better! You are in the city this time instead of a phsyic ward. The gameplay and tech behind the game is mind-blowing. I love to use batman and glide over the city and use his gadgets and all. I love how when you progress in the game you get to unlock more features. This value in this game is almost limitless.

The game plays well on my Mac mini i5 w/ Radeon 6630HD GPU running Mac OSX 10.8.4.

I love doing combos and counter attacks when fighting. Great game, great value.

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline
 –

Asphalt 6:Adrenaline rocks!

This game has great graphics, excellent music and is fun and highly customizable and the price is right- I got it on sale for $2.99- it's a steal!

The game is pretty fun and challenging and I already unlocked a car and tracks on my second try. I love the Nitro button- it helped my beat my opposing racers! Love the power ups and bonus cash and the ability to smash my opposing racers to temporary eliminate them!

For my fellow mac gamers who complain about lack of native built in gamepad support for this game- solution- get Joystick mapper or gamepad companion on the Mac App Store, either one of these fine apps helps you program and map keyboard keys to the gamepad thus allowing for gamepad support!

Very fun racing game, very amusing and the regular price of $6.99 is still pretty cheap for a racing game on the Mac. It is on sale today on Sept. 3, 2013 for $2.99, and you can't go wrong with that price!
