Reincarnations: Uncover the Past Collector's Edition
 –

Unexpected

I agree with the gorgeous graphics. What I found particularly wonderful were the little puzzles within puzzles. Within the HO scenes there were other things you had to do to reveal the HO. And most were very, very clever. Made me laugh out loud at times. The three parts are obviously quite different. The first, a relatively familiar theater scene but great detail. The second a wonderful rendition of Inquisition Venice. I haven't finished this one yet but I expect the next will be just as good and I look forward to the extra content. I'm dragging this one out because I really like it. Big variety of mini puzzles, some you've seen and some you haven't. Clever premise of exploring past lives. Can't wait to see how they pull it all together.

Haunted Halls: Green Hills Sanitarium Collector's Edition
 –

Great Game but glitchy

I really enjoyed the game BUT I found that even after downloading several times, I couldn't get a clean game. The picture quality was very sketchy with lots of interference. I only got a clean screen towards the end of the game and then couldn't get it back. I played the game, however, and really enjoyed it. Challenging and creepy story. Bonus content was fun too. Promise of sequel but I hope the technical problems are worked out.

Mystery Legends: The Phantom of the Opera Collector's Edition
 –

Superb

Of course, we all know the story so I'm always skeptical when a game uses a well-known tale. But this was an inventive continuation of the original story with the promise of more to come. The graphics were beautiful and even scary. The adventure was absorbing. The puzzles could be quite challenging. A good buy.

Mystic Diary: Haunted Island
 –

A little frustrating

I liked the story and the graphics. I found some parts of the game impossible to figure out without a walkthrough help. That was disappointing. It took me forever to figure out the second part of the game-the transition just wasn't obvious. So in the end I think there are other better games out there.

Mystery Trackers: The Void Collector's Edition
 –

Hours of good gaming

I thought this one was very complex and had a wide variety of minigames and HO. The story gets a little wild and seems to jump around a bit but not so much that you lose interest. I did find that the hints were sometimes not helpful-more useful in the HO parts. Graphics were fab. I haven't played the extra content yet as I'm saving that and drawing out finishing the game. But I will go back to see if it's as much fun the second time around.

Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull Collector's Edition
 –

Fun

I wasn't sure if I was going to like the live action along with the traditional game but I actually did. This was a great addition to the MCF family. Only problem was I paid for the Collector's Edition with the hopes of all the extras and then it seemed the collection of special skulls wasn't included. Maybe it will show up in the next game. But that was kind of a bummer.

Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials Collector's Edition
 –

Super

Complicated and complex. Very interesting how the true story of the witch trials and the Hawthorne history were pulled together clue by clue. I thought there was a great blend of HO and puzzles. Good game that takes a bit to finish.

Mystery Legends: Sleepy Hollow
 –

Fab

I hesitated on buying this one because some reviews said it was too difficult, with esoteric items and hard to see. I do agree it's a little dark but I really enjoyed the fact that the items you were looking for were appropriate to the time period of the story. The clues help with the things I never heard of and don't penalize your time. I would have liked more puzzles within each chapter. But I perversely LOVED the voodoo doll that screams when you stick it with pins. I thought the whole game macabre fun. Well done and well worth it. Not great replay value but I'll let it sit for a bit and when I go back it will all seem new.

Drawn: Dark Flight Collector's Edition
 –

Disappointing

I waited a long time for this sequel but I found it oddly anticlimactic. It was fun but some of the best parts of the first one, like the worlds within paintings, were missing or abbreviated. I found this one not as interesting. And there were some areas that were downright too hard and therefore I had to get assistance with the walkthrough. 3 stars I guess.

Mystery of Mortlake Mansion
 –

Addictive!

I have had problems with the loading as well-takes a long while. And sometimes the sound and transitions are jerky. But the game is fun, fun, fun. Gotta love those Russians. It pulls in all the mini puzzles you've encountered on other games. The artwork is outstanding. I must say that the story is a little disjointed and the characters take FOREVER to say what little they have to say, which in most cases doesn't add to the story. The player voice is annoying. And I keep being referred to the Book of Shadows which I haven't found-but can continue without it. Hours of HO and puzzle fun for the price. I hope it doesn't freeze at the end!
But I'm enjoying it and trying to drag it out.

Victorian Mysteries: Woman in White
 –

Story runs out of steam

I thought the hidden object portions were challenging. The graphics in these scenes are complex and interesting. The story itself is a little odd with strange printed dialogs juxtaposed with actually heard dialog (why?). Other puzzle parts were interesting too. Seems like they wrapped this up in a hurry. But price was right so all in all I can recommend.

Veronica Rivers-Portals to the Unknown
 –

Save your money

I was disappointed. There is no coherence to the narrative. The hidden object scenes were ok but there are repeating puzzles that become monotonous and annoying. It's difficult to follow the progress of the game. I keep trying to finish it but get bored quickly. I am trying to console myself that I got this one for free when I bought 3 at one time.

Valerie Porter and the Scarlet Scandal
 –

Really fun

I am dragging this one out because I'm really enjoying it. The '20's motif is really done well and adds to the fun. The hidden object part is just challenging enough. Some of the mini puzzles are a little repetitive but they still move the plot along so it's not too bad. And there are little mini seek and finds along the way. I can recommend this one and look forward to the next in what I hope will be a long series.

Secrets of the Dragon Wheel
 –

Waiting for the Next Installment

I liked this game as it had all the elements of hidden object plus good puzzles and a good story. The hints are helpful and plentiful if you need them. Only real complaint was that it was very talky-especially when you needed to refer to the scroll and the description of the page you need is repeated and repeated. I liked the story and there is a promise of more to come. The graphics were stunning. I'm going to play the game again just to get a new look at the fabulous train on which the actions takes place. Well worth the price-a bargain and fun.

Mishap: An Accidental Haunting
 –

Fun for hours

It took me a while to get into this one. But once I did I really enjoyed it. The hidden object parts are challenging, especially since there are 3-4 parts per chapter. The riddles are fun too. Finally the games are ok but a little frustrating-hard to complete successfully. The story is ok but the talky talky is tedious. Fortunately you can click through that. Definitely worth the price and you can play it over again with new challenges.

Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate
 –

Can't find those darn spades!!

I like this one because you can go back over the same game with different content. I also advise not to use your clues too soon. You'll need them for the final puzzle at each level. However you may not be able to complete those! I have to say that I couldn't find all the spades and moons etc. But the game doesn't require perfection to move ahead and will let you advance even if you can't complete the puzzles. Good thing!
