Does not work!

This is the 2nd game that I purchased of the Edgar Allen Poe series that does not work on my computer even though it meets all the requirements. I am so disappointed! All I get is a black screen and I have to reboot my computer in order to end the game!

No working! Getting only a black screen!

Although it is rated to work on my Mac I get nothing but a black screen. I am so disappointed! Now I cannot play the game! If anyone knows a fix for this problem I hope they will include it in some comments.
