Europa Universalis IV: Leviathan
 –

Indeed this is a fine mess but...

First, I will not recommend this DLC at this present state.

That said - I need to remind everyone that, (1) we tend to be pretty brutal and ruthless as a community, and (2) nobody wants to put his/her heart and soul into a project that will earn 1 star.

All I can say is, we should give them some time to fix this mess. Their design decisions were very ambitious, and I actually like some of the things they have done. Introducing monuments was a very interesting step to say the least, and viable play with the aborigins is another step in diversifying the game play.

True - we need much more fine tuning. We get 22 pip infantry at Mil tech level 26 as an Australian aborigin. Or - frequently we get good 15~20 aborigin capitals crowding up the most developed province chart. These things need to be balanced. (I for one think the aboriginal military units are way too overpowered.) But they at least offer a competitive game play. My preference would be to stick close to the historical accuracy, but then who am I to judge their design philosoply? So I am not going to throw a tamper tantrum over that.

Yes. This game is broken even without these aforementioned balance issues. I've seen savedata corruptions, random crashes and et al. I cannot assume this is the result devs wanted; remember that they want same things as we all do - fun game that is functional. If anything, they are the ones that will fix this game, not us. Sure, flaming them in a time like this does help let the steam out of your head, but we can keep it civil, no? If they decide it's not worth the time and effort, then we are stuck with this horrible mess. Once that happens, everybody loses. Keep that in mind.

All in all, this DLC, even in this hot mess, comes with load of potential. Don't hate it because it doesn't work. Give them time. They will make it right.
