It took me a while to try this game, simpley because of the word HIIDDEN in the title. They are usually the same ol! Not so with this one! The game is equal 3rd's h/o, puzzle games and activities. You must reach the end of a level completing all before being rewarded with an item used to open the next level. All levels are unique and can be far trickier than they appear! If you are looking for a well done and unique H/O, definitely give this a shot! I was pleasantly surprised.
This game had a great sense of humour and plenty to do! Yes it is a H/O game but they shake up the formula quite a bit. Besides looking for h/o you interrogate suspects and even do a little breaking and entering. About halfway through the game you receive a device to help you move and look under couches etc. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, finding it light hearted and fun but with enough challenge. I def. recommend it.
As all Dream chronicles it has great graphics and explains a little more of the story this time. ie the dream. It has interesting puzzles and when you replay things are in a different area. This version has a NEXUS which is a series of gateways you can travel trough once you unlock them. YOu often have to go back and forth. I found the hint system often lacking and the game on the short side. You know they are setting you up for a 4th version. But if you enjoyed the first 2, you will love this as well.
I would have rated this game good on the mini games alone and if that if your favourite part, then it is a very good game. I esp. liked the slider puzzles. The story itself is rather weak and the hint system is not great. If you prefer a good story, good hidden objects this game will be average for you. But if you love logic puzzles and mini games such as in AZADA then you will love this game.
I agree with Miriam. It is good for a match 3 but been there done that a hundred times. There is nothing new and it gets very boring after awhile. They do it well but how much of the same thing can you do? Ever since I played The Ancient Quest of Saqqarah (by far the best out there) I just can't get into the same routine of the standard match 3. The names have been changed but the games are the very same.
If you like pirates then this game is a must. The graphics are a wee bit outdated but the story is fun and the puzzlese actually make sense. If you liked Myst you will like this game although it is easier. It is of a medium difficulty and a great pirate story. The whole key here is whether you like the swashbuckling pirate genre and if you do, it is great fun! They seem to have an obsession with "knot tying" in their puzzles lol
I agree with Julie, the game was great, not too difficult but enough to be amusing. Only complaint as well is the LENGTH! I am hoping for a sequel and a longer one. I think there is a lot they could do to this game to take it to a great to fanatastic game. Nice little bout of ESCAPISM!
If you have played Big Kahnua...well this is the exact game with different scenery. Yes you can fix your own aquarium, but the boards, bombs and the way they work is exactly Big Kahuna which was a great game the first time. If you have not played Big Kahuna then you will enjoy this and it will seem fresh. I cannot stress how identical everything is other than fixing the aquarium up. Yay for novices to the genre ....nay if you already own BIG KAHUNA or the several like ti out there!
Nothing about this game thrilled or blew me away but at the same time I found it good enough to finish. The best things I can say about the game are the hint system which is the most unique part of the game and the inventory based puzzles. The grahics are better than the first Hidden Mysteries game: Civil War , so if you liked that you will be sure to like this one. The hidden objects had nothing to do with the story or theme and there wasn't much depth to the story. It was a decent hidden object game but nothing great!
Mosaic has a good story line considering it is an inlay game. There are rewards at the end of each level and a mystery which you do not usually find in these games. There are also fold outs which expand as well as the usual dropping shape which adds a whole new way of playing. You must think and use them wisely. There are also many power ups. It is probably the best INLAY game I have played!
My Tribe has many different islands to explore, with plenty of variety and challenges. There are trophies to unlock and the game plays out even when not playing it, which can be considered a pro or a con. Many people don't like a game that keeps playing when they are not on it. IT is quite similar to VIRTUAL VILLAGERS, so if you liked that you will definitely like MY TRIBE. YOU can choose from literally billions of islands, each with a different layout and 3 sets of mysteries to choose. In that way it is different from VVillagers. It all comes down to if you are a fan of REALTIME play or not.
A very good point & click adventure game. You interact with objects in the pages to sovle puzzles. Puzzles in the first AZADA were limited to one screen while in Ancient Magic the puzzles can span many pages of the each book. Another difference is there are 21 books as opposed to one to explore You do not have to play the mini games at one particular time, you may go back and play them after solving puzzles in the book. The game is between 4 and 5 hours and none if it is fluff. I loved the first Azada but enjoyed this one even more!
A good HO game with nearly 100 levels. The grahics are great and there are many different kinds of puzzles. There are some mini games. You get time off for frequent wrong clicking and bonus for speed clicking. At first you must find hidden objects the usual way from a list. As the game progresses you find the objects from word clues. i.e. (read + mornin + daily = newspaper) There are approx. 12 mini games which are average games. I have seen better one. The game is very long and enjoyable because of it's story driven plot and good graphics.
I have only played the demo but I could tell it is the type of game I could spend a lot of time on and get addicted. I am sure I will purchase it. You can tell there is a lot of replay value.....like cards. I liked that you can stop at anytime and it doesn't affect the game. I have yet to find all the ins and outs of the game but it is very easy to get hooked on.
I started playing the demo late at night waiting for my teen to get home (you know the feeling lol) I wanted something easy and being an avid game player I thought this would be perfect. Well it took me the whole demo and I didn't even finish the first puzzle lol. I don't know if the rest of the games is good or different. But if it is just word search it would be cheaper to buy a puzzle magazine. Anyways for the life of me I could not find LION CITY........if anyone buys the game let me know where it is and if there is more to the game. Thanks
interesting story line with multiple endings and real recipes to use. The advanced levels can be quite challenging and require quite a bit of memoization. The graphics remind you of older high quality cartoons. At least 6 hours straight gameplay with good replay value, 60 levels in all. If you like time managent games with puzzles this game is certainly worth buying!
A well crafted game with 7 different play types. Excellent graphics and the type of game you will play for weeks. There has to be at least 500 different levels with lots of different ranks and bonuses to earn. The most difficult part is the curved pathways. The most original MATCH 3 game I have ever played, but you have khufu the magical blue monkey to guide you lol! It sets a new standard for the "match 3" genre!
I am hooked on this game! Similar to the first. Each level you get to go to a different locale and have the same type of puzzle to beat. Watch that reptile's tongue though (timer) It can retract much too quickly at times. IT is a much longer game than many which is nice. I am only halfway through but determined to finish it. Definitely worth the money in both play and time value. It can even get the blood pressure up and my son laughs when I start talking to the the game.lol............def.worth the money
