Fun if you like pet fish

This is one of those ant farm like experiences where you sort of nudge your lifeforms into what you want done and otherwise just generally sit back and watch. This is kind of a double-edged blade that works for and against this game. I can only recommend it if you're willing to give it an hour at the beginning of the game and then check it ever hour or so like a Tamagotchi.

Basically, try the demo and imagine that your sense of accomplishment will slow down dramatically after a few hours when you've sort of finished the obvious stuff and then the game will become almost like a stamina test rather than a constant stream of things to do and overcome.

Hard-earned fun

This is the king of micromanagement games and it can be incredibly daunting trying to get into it, but when you do you are rewarded with a game so deep and rich you may never stop playing. If not for its awkward interface I'd put it up there with classics like Civilization. A.D.D. kids need not buy.

The perfect game for the backseat politician

While this game is not attractive and gets repetitive I still enjoy cranking the difficulty way up and seeing if I can't rebuild my own perfect America without getting assassinated or voted out of office. I'd wager that unless you like management gaming or are really politically minded you probably won't enjoy this game much, but if either of those could describe you this game might well be worth your time.

A solid businees management game

I bought this as a fan of the classic console game Aerobiz and was not disappointed. While I will say that the game can be a little hard to make sense of at first, it becomes fun and interesting after a few plays and I'm still enjoying the occasional afternoon with it.
