Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition

CRITICAL HIT!

Seriously one of the best gaming experiences I've ever indulged in. Lots to shoot, lots to loot and some serious replay value to top it off. In the immortal words of Steve the bandit, "HEYOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

A cinematic experience!

Graphically, and gameplay-wise, this game has aged very well. Super intense action sequences and the feeling that your choices really do matter to you and your squadmates. I pretty much played it from start to finish in one go — I couldn't tear myself away!

Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition
 –

The dark side is strong with this one.

While visuals may be a bit dated, the events non-canon (now) and the camera mechanics a tad on the glitchy side, this is still a fun-as-hell 10+ hours of acrobatic lightsabering. Quite possibly my favourite combat system of the LucasArts jedi games and the destructable environments create some great replay value.

BioShock Infinite Starter Pack
 –

Fantastic deal.

Best dang deal around, and getting it on sale is the icing on the vigor-enhanced cake. This gets you everything you need to truly gain the BioShock experience.

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea - Episode 2
 –

Rapture? Rapture!

Head back under the waves to the city that launched the BioShock franchise. If you're on the fence about getting this DLC, would you kindly purchase it?

Return to Rapture!

Hands-down one of my favourite locations in gaming! This is a highly recommended DLC for an already great game.

BioShock Infinite

A stunning game

Visually, BioShock has never looked better than this. Gameplay-wise, this game is phenomenal. Yes, the combat still needs a bit of tightening up, but the story, the characters and the environments are all top-tier.

Who doesn't need a helping hand once in a while?

A little extra money, some damn powerful guns with a few handy buffs. Pretty useful!

Samorost 3

Fantastic, as always.

As the title states, this one holds to the adorable quality standards of the previous two entries in the series. This game is chock-full of head-scratching puzzles and is the longest game so far featuring everyone's favourite lil' gnome.

Borderlands 2: Wedding Day Massacre

Best one yet

Hands-down my favourite of the head hunter packs — the funniest characters, best map, and most challenging boss battle. Not my favourite head of the bunch, but you can't have everything!

Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax

Solid addition

Great environment in this one and the missions are interesting as well. Solid raid boss battle at the end. LONG LIVE CRAWMERAX

GET IT, YA TURKEY!

An enjoyable DLC for an already-expansive game. Not my favourite of the head hunter packs, but anything with MISTER TORGUE AND HIS CHARMING GRANDMOTHER can't be all that bad!

Borderlands 2: Mercenary Day

A Happy Mercenary Day to all!

Blasting snowmen has never been this fun! The festive winter feel makes this one a must-play over the holidays and the loot train always delivers the blue/purple goods!

Borderlands 2: TK Baha's Bloody Harvest

Brain candy

This was my favourite-looking head hunter pack — the spooky environments, undead bandits and gourd-sporting boss made for some hellishly fun escapades. Trickiest boss fight of the batch.

Bandits, bandits, everywhere!

Adds some huge replayability to an already-immensely expansive gaming experience. Thought you had no free time before UVHM? Think again.

Borderlands 2 Complete Edition
 –

Best bang for yer buck

The title says it all — countless hours of adventurous gameplay, hundreds of side missions, tons of challenges, endless pop culture references and guns, oh the guns. Hilarious dialogue, clever character design and did I mention THE GUNS?!?

Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition

Essential

Quite possibly the greatest gaming experience I've ever had the pleasure of ... uh, experiencing. Take my word for it — this is an essential game that everyone must play though at least once.

Never Alone: Foxtales
 –

Beautiful

A wonderful, albeit short, little gem of a game. Fantastic art direction, characters and writing. Controls were a little sludgy at times, but I would recommend this game to anyone without a doubt. Cultural insights (in the DLC as well) were a great addition to the gameplay.

FlatOut 2
 –

Premium rush

Fast-paced, frenetic speeds with the ever-looming threat of defenestration — what more could you ask for in a racing game? A clearly-mid-2000s-alt.rock soundtrack? SOLD.

Loved it

Clever, funny and face-meltingly adorable. Recommended to anyone with a soul and/or sense of humour. Must love point-n-click titles.
