Soulless: Ray Of Hope is a game eerily similar to LIMBO, a platformer with unique atmosphere. However, its platformer side is really meh, the checkpoints are weirdly placed, controls are clunky and there are bugs. Would recommend only for patient people.
Out There: Omega Edition is one of those games whose concept is far better than the implementation. It is supposed to be a resource-management space exploration with high replay value, but it is so focused on luck (AKA random number generation) that everything else is completely overwhelmed by it.
It is clearly not developed fully. Too bad, because the idea is soooo good.
This game doesn't offer a fresh take on point&click or detective games, but instead does almost everything right within a proven formula. The graphics are pleasant, controls decent, puzzles interesting and the story is good. UI is a bit clunky, that's why I give 4/5, but I would definitely recommend Cognition.
Mafia III is set in a great city of New Bordeaux which feels engaging and interesting to explore, has a pretty good story and characters, but is littered with bugs, glitches and graphics sub-optimization.
What is most appalling about it, is the combat, specifically aiming, which doesn't seem to be improved a bit since Mafia II, even though it was old even then.
With all of it being said, I still kinda maybe liked the game and would have still bought it on a deep sale. I'd recommend buying the Digital Deluxe Edition because of 2K's terrible DLC pricing policy: buying main game and season pass separately is always way more expensive than together.
The Silent Age is something really different, it has an unique graphics style, its mechanics (point & click) are unlike most 2d platformers, its voice acting and story are cool.
Considering the low price on sales, The Silent Age is an intriguing buy I can recommend.
Californium has quite an interesting graphics style, which is inviting and lovable, but the game is quite short with somewhat clunky controls. If it were a little bit better and if there was more f it, Californium would be phenomenal, but it's only decent.
Dead in Bermuda is a 2D survival game that also tries to tell a story and fails at pretty much everything. The story is dull and disappointing and survivalship is basically resource management.
While definitely an interesting concept, much more advanced than Ant War, which I loved in my childhood, I just think there is just too much of unrealized potential for this game to be satisfying. Just like 3D survival Steam early access games which fail to fix their bugs.
This game puts you in the middle of everything without any directions, clues or modern HUD. Which is great, but it makes you require patience I don't have. The gameplay and story still feel relevant and the graphics are nice (though definitely feel dated, but who cares, they're nice).
If you like exploration & puzzles and have enough time & patience, you should definitely try this one. If not, skip it.
Really fun small adventure RPG with decent controls and story as well as layered jokes. Definitely good for 10ish hours of gameplay. I prefer Evoland 2, but this installment has a lot to offer.
In a world of RPG Maker copies, Evoland offers something different.
This DLC gets you some extra in-game currency and lockpicks and two additional weapons. While it's a better kick-start, as you progress through the game, you realize that it isn't much. Weapons are nice, though.
I bought it on sale and I recommend you do too, even if the base price isn't that high, you can complete the game and whiteout even knowing it exists. But if you're a fan of Bioshock Infinite, at the expected discounted price (around 1-2$), it's a must-buy.
