If you like a challenge, this one is for you. This is my least favorite so far in the Viking Brothers games. While I rated the others very highly, this game feels like the characters don't run fast enough, or that you have enough help in the game. It's extremely difficult to get two starts after the first 4 or 5 levels. It's work. But if you like a challenge, you may love it.
Game wouldn't launch. After a hard exit, I was able to open it from the dock. The game came up in the top left corner of the screen, probably a 3x3 square. I couldn't even see the writing! Returned and got my money back.
I purchased, then returned this game in 64-bit. The instructions on how to play the game were not available. This looks to be a really fun collection but when you don't know how to play, you can't play. I hope the developer gets this bug worked out. 2/16/21
This starts out flaky but keep going, you're going to love it! The game doesn't let you go back and replay a level after you get to the end of the game, so be sure to try for a better score while you're on the map currently being played. Other than that, this game is challenging as well as fun!
This game is simpler than the Viking Brothers games bu incorporates the same great graphics of the Viking Brothers games, which I love. There isn't the same challenge level as with the other games but does include some new gameplay features not found in Viking Brothers. Totally worth the money as it was on sale.
I love the House of 1000 Doors games. Hope they convert them to 64-bit and forget about the 512 system ram. You won't go wrong with any of these games. Definitely spend the extra money on the Collector's Editions.
Great gameplay and graphics. This is probably my least favorite of all the games but I am still giving it a 4.5 rating. Buy the Collector's Editions, it's well worth it. These are games you will want to play over and over and over.
The House of 1000 doors games are the best Hidden Object games, in my opinion. No messing with puzzles. The storyline in all of them are wonderful and the graphics excellent as well. This one is my favorite. The others are right up there. I hope they come out with 64 bit games since my old mac died and all I could get in a new iMac is a 64 bit.
I have to say, I did not like this game the first time I played it. I was used to the ghosts and such but recently my 32 bit mac died. I cannot find a new one that isn't 64 bit. Fortunately, they updated this version to 64 bit so I have one game to play in the series. I love them all. Since I've palyed this a few more times I have to say I really enjoy the game. It plays perfectly on my 64 bit iMac.
I love the Alicia Quatermain series of games. I downloaded the demo only after reading the previous reviews. I have to say this would be a really fun game if a person could see how many resources they have. I could even get past the small print mentioned in the other reviews but without knowing your resources it makes the game less fun. I plan on holding out until these problems are fixed before I purchase. I hope they are fixed soon!
This game started out amazingly good. The storyline seemed interesting. Somewhere, though, gameplay turned a bit confusing as to what to do next. Fortunately, I had set my hint button to a 15 second delay and that got me through a few tough spots. The options available are the most varied I have seen. I would recommend this game.
This is a really fun game. I've played through it several times. Some levels are pretty challenging on normal and although I've played some levels 8 or 9 times, I can't get 3 stars. I'll figure it out. Graphics are great and I can see this will be a game I'll get out and play from time to time.
Graphics are great! The game starts out good, storyline is interesting. Not many traditional hidden object scenes and puzzles could use better instructions. I like the fact they show the solution to the puzzles when you skip them so you know what to do next time. Game seems kind of short, though. I will play again someday.
The storyline is interesting, the graphics beautiful. That said, there were only a few hidden object scenes in the entire game. Lots of puzzles with unclear information on what the objective is. The game itself is challenging in most places with unexpected ways to get the objects needed to complete each quest. I probably won't play this game again simply because I don't like all these puzzles. For puzzle lovers, you'll be in 7th heaven.
This game is really good for new or medium Hidden Object players. I found it fairly easy, although I did get stumped a few times. The hidden object scenes are really almost too easy, although I did play on the easiest setting. Some of the puzzles can be played at hard or easy as you get to them, which is the first game like this I've encountered. Enjoyed the game . Plenty of game play. You won't go wrong with this one.
I usually rely on ratings to purchase games. Although this had no ratings, I bought it on a whim and I'm not sorry. The story line is fun, there are some unexpected twists and turns to it, the graphics are clear . I've played this one four or five times now and I still find it a great game.
I just love the House of 1000 Doors games. All of them. There is a continuity to them yet completely stand alone at the same time. There are more Hidden Object games within these than in other supposed Hidden Object games. The puzzles are not too difficult although occasionally I just had to skip one. Graphis are excellent, and the story line is compelling.
Even though the game says my Mac meets the minimum requirements, it runs very slow on my computer. When it runs normally, it is really fun. I have tried restarting my device but that didn't help. Got any fixes for this?
One of the best detective/hidden object games. The first time through is tough, but as you begin to understand how to put things together it becomes easier. I've played it at least 15 times and its still fun.
