Awakening: The Sunhook Spire Collector's Edition

Great graphics, okay story, occasionally terrible puzzles

I feel like the lone voice of dissent here, and maybe I just don't play enough hidden object games to have all the puzzle types memorized. But puzzles are just tossed up on the screen with no clear objective and no description. Clicking hint makes a move on the puzzle for you, instead of saying "these bottles need to be organized by the patterns on the label" and by the way, I looked at the solution online and I STILL didn't get that one? Anyway. The setting and graphics were interesting, the voice acting was terrible, and some of the puzzles made no sense to me and I ended up skipping a lot of them. I also expected a few more actual hidden object puzzles, and fewer "arrange these objects in as many ways as you can think of until we tell you you've solved it." Did not finish.

Stellaris
 –

Fantastic for space empire role playing

Stellaris is a fun strategy game but nothing too deep or memorable. Where the game really shines is as a space empire RPG where you live out your space opera dreams. If you're a fan of science fiction I strongly recommend picking this up.

Stellaris: Synthetic Dawn Story Pack

A fun new way to role play

While not essential to your Stellaris experience, synthetic dawn is a fun addition if you've ever wanted to play as a race of machines. Really great for Borg driven assimilator run :)

Good DLC

沢山のDLCがありますが、どのDLCを選ぶかと言われれば、まずParklife,Indastries、つぎにMassTransit,AfterDark,Snowfallでしょうか?
そのくらい重要だと思います。
まあDLC無くてもいいんですけどね。

[There are many DLCs, but if you are asked which DLC to choose, they are Parklife, Industries, then MassTransit, AfterDark, Snowfall.
I think that is so important. Well, I do not need to use DLC.]

Echoes of the Past: The Citadels of Time Collector's Edition
 –

Interesting concept, some great puzzles

Overall I liked the setting, though the story started very abruptly. The music was lovely, and some of the puzzle ideas were really fun. Some, like the end puzzle, were just irritating, and there was a black screen that stopped progress in the endgame which is apparently a common problem. (Quitting and restarting fixed it for me.) I would certainly consider buying other games in this series.

4 Elements II Collector's Edition

Far more engaging/challenging than the art style would suggest

Bought this on a whim, because I'm getting tired of match 3 titles who want you to buy boosts and bonuses every five minutes. (I'd rather pay up front, thanks.) The story and art style were a little "cute" for me, but I was happily surprised by how engaging the puzzles themselves were. It was a fun twist on the match 3 style, and I really enjoyed it! I also liked the fact that I could turn the timed play on and off in the options — sometimes I'm in the mood for a challenge, sometimes I just want to relax. I did get some pop-up messages saying the game was "not optimized for my Mac" but aside from a few quirks that required a restart, it worked just fine. This is a game I expect to play more than once!
