Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury
 –

Crusades are finally fun

Another solid DLC for Crusader Kings II. The new Crusades are a much needed improvement given the title of the game. Other highlights are legendary bloodlines, the sway/antagonize feature which is great, and proper canonization of saints which all add a lot to the roleplaying feel of the game. There are also a lot of other small changes, as well as two major ones which may or may not impact you depending on the characters you play:

Hellenism - Graeco-Roman religion
Warrior Lodges - Pagan societies

Two new game setup rules are introduced which shake up the game a lot:

Shattered World, where all realms are broken up
Random World, which is pretty much what it sounds like

Lastly, French, Arabic, West Slavic, and Italian characters get a welcomed portrait makeover.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun
 –

An amazing spiritual sequel to Commandos

If you've played the Commandos series, you know what to expect, just buy this game.

For those who haven't:
Control a squad and infiltrate various locations in real time. It can get tricky to co-ordinate plans so you can optionally slow down time, although it's fun to challenge yourself to not do so.

Making and executing plans is a key aspect and the missions emphasise this by allowing a variety of approaches.

Graphically, the game gorgeous, whether you're infiltrating amongst the cherry blossoms, or scaling a Japanese castle.

A must have title for anyone with an interest in stealth or tactics games.

Dead Cells
 –

Great side-scrolling action platformer

Dead Cells mixes roguelite style "die and unlock" mechanics with side scrolling action RPG somewhat similar to Castlevania. Not quite a metroidvania genre game, but the inspiration certainly shows. Each run has a procedurally generated map (although tilesets/"biomes" are fixed, as is standard - e.g. Nuclear Throne). Combat is fast and smooth and the amazing pixel art seals the deal.

Highly recommended for fans of side scrolling action games or those who like run-based roguelikes with upgrades.

Hearts of Iron IV: Death or Dishonor
 –

Value depends on what countries you like to play

I found the additional mechanics (equipment conversion and capture, licensing) to not make much of an impact in my games. Thus, the bulk of this content boils down to the additional focus trees and events which are for countries I rarely play.

If you play Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, or Yugoslavia a lot, this pack may be worth full price. If you simply want more content or to try out one of these countries, get it on sale. If you're interested in the game mechanics, however, skip this one.

Mount & Blade: Warband - Viking Conquest Reforged Edition
 –

An okay addition for Mount & Blade fans

While there are many mods which probably add more and better content to the game, if you've played them all and are looking for a viking setting to fight through, it's worth a buy at half price or so.

Crowntakers
 –

A fun, light turn based tactics game

Not the deepest game in the genre, especially compare to the greats like Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem, but for the price you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck due to procedural generated maps to explore. Graphics are rather simple but endearing. Would be a great introduction for newcomers to the genre.

Crowntakers: Undead Undertakings DLC
 –

More stuff.

If you've played the base game and just want a little more, this DLC's got you covered. It's not a whole lot but for the asking price that's not to be expected.

Shoppe Keep
 –

Trumped by sequel

The game was okay upon release, not great, and although it differs in many ways I'd still prefer to play Recettear for the umpteenth time for my shopkeeping fix. However, the sequel renders this obsolete.

Out There: Omega Edition
 –

A fun time waster

While some aspects definitely have that "mobile port" feel, it's still a fun little game with some roguelike mixed with resource management. The art style is great, procedurally generated galaxy makes for plenty of replayability, and the story is actually somewhat interesting to follow.

Crusader Kings II: Conclave Content Pack
 –

Cosmetics only

What more can I say? You know what you're getting with these content packs. Definitely recommend picking up only on sale if portraits and units are an important aspect of CKII to you. If not, you can easily skip this (and other packs of this nature) without missing much.
