Another one of these expansions that aren't "must haves". But just the new origins alone are a good reason to buy the expansion. More variety is never wrong with Paradox games.

If you do enjoy Imperator: Rome you pretty much have little choice but to buy this DLC. It offers some of the much-needed variety.

People love to complain that this species pack lacks content. Yes, there are better mods out there but I welcome the variety provided. Finally some goth species!

Without a doubt, CK3 is more approachable than any previous PDS game. Yet it still is as fun and entertaining as its predecessor.
I'm mostly missing some tools (like specific map modes) or individual cultural details, which certainly will follow with further expansions.

Some elements are a joke, espionage for example. It's a very rudimentary concept, not adding anything to enrich your game experience or bring you joy.

Some other stuff makes them a greater challenge, which is nice but no must have.
Summed up: Could have been more and better.

It's nice to see familiar historic tanks, but it really isn't making the game a better experience at all. Purely optional.

This made playing these nations a lot more fun, so it's a must have if you like the challenge they offer.
Feels incomplete though, because they left out some nations.

You obviously can't miss out on this if you love playing Japan or China.
Traits and skills for Generals can be a decisive factor in war for all nations.

Some of the features are somewhat outdated or pale in comparison to newer features, but some are still essential. I recommend buying.

What this DLC adds to the game is almost too powerful. It unlocks abilities for your characters, if you follow specific ways of life. Murdering becomes so much easier when you are a professional spy!
