Hearts of Iron IV: Battle for the Bosporus
 –

Okay expansion

Don't feel like it added enough to justify it, but I am addicted to paradox games.

Crusader Kings III: Royal Edition
 –

The best Crusader Kings so far

The game, unlike recent paradox games, launched with a lot of content. I personally love the focus on roleplaying, instead of min-maxing.

Europa Universalis IV: Emperor

Rough balance at launch

It's a good expansion now, but the balance was completely off at launch

Europa Universalis IV: Rule Britannia
 –

Britain players must have

This DLC expands Britain's gameplay and adds the Anglican church, it's a nice DLC if you enjoy the British isles as a setting... But probably a skip for others.

The DLC, like almost all DLCs for EU4, adds a mechanic or two that improve the game. It's not worth it for most people at full price, but at a discount, it enriches your game experience and if you ever tried EU4 with DLCs, you can't really go back.

Europa Universalis IV: Golden Century

Extremely mediocre

Even for the Iberian nations, which it's focused on, the DLC is very very OK at best.

If you like playing in India it's a must buy, as a whole it's on the better side of EU4 content.

Europa Universalis IV: Res Publica

Good for netherlands and republics and elective nations

Not that great and very situational for certain government types and the Netherlands, so a hard skip for everyone else.

Must have for Hordes, ok for others

A real must buy for horde players, okay DLC for others. Lets you give provinces to vassals so it's nice to have.

Europa Universalis IV: Mare Nostrum Content Pack

More unique visuals

Not needed at all if you don't care about getting new model files for units.

Adds a lot of flavor to middle eastern nations and Islam, so if that's your jam this is a good DLC to buy.

Mediocre, only buy at a discount.... If even then

The DLC, like almost all DLCs for EU4, adds a mechanic or two that improve the game. It's not worth it for most people at full price, but at a discount, it enriches your game experience and if you ever tried EU4 with DLCs, you can't really go back.

Like the name implies the game is mostly focused on maritime gameplay and probably isn't worth it for players who play inland. The added condotieri system is important for multiplayer though.

It makes China more unique, but the mechanics can feel more like a chore than actual fun gameplay additions

Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance
 –

Overpriced and mediocre

Interesting new mechanics, but not worth the price. The DLC adds some nice focus trees that update the focuses for France and give the Iberian nations more character. The Spanish civil war has also been expanded and can branch out and give you some interesting outcomes that were previously not in the game. A neat espionage system was also added and is fun early on when you form the agency, gather intelligence and prepare invasion and sabotage your enemies' governments and infrastructure. I like restoring monarchies in HoI 4 so maybe that clouds my judgment a bit, but I've had fun with it. Especially since this site has the discount coupon reward system which gave me the chance to buy the DLC for around half price. The DLC is definitely one of the more overpriced ones so far and doesn't feel like it provides a 20 euro value for the player, maybe a 10 euro value which is around what I paid for it. So buy it discounted, as most paradox games and their DLC. If you still like playing HoI4 buy it, at a discount. If you've already lost interest in the game, this will probably not give you enough to bring you back and keep you interested in the game.

Good transport tycoon

A good transport tycoon game that offers at the very least tens of hours of fun.

Europa Universalis IV: Empire Founder Pack

A good start

As you (sadly) need to have almost all the DLC to enjoy the game, this is a good start that saves a little money for you.

Boring

Lionhead Studios' old game The Movies is a much better purchase for the money.

Imperator: Rome Deluxe Edition
 –

Lackluster

Bought it as a huge fan of CK2 (2000 hours) and EU4 (1000 hours) and was very disappointed by this shallow, lackluster entry.
