Interesting, but nothing very new

This is a good HO game, with puzzles that you have seen before, but nicely done. All in all, a good game, but not a great one. Predictable story.

lots of humor

This was really a surprising and fun game! It was surely different from all the other hidden object / puzzle games I played before. The story is really surprising, fun puzzles and sometimes difficult too. If you know anything about history and filosofy you'll see that these guys did there homework and must have had lots of fun making this game.
There were some problems at first but the updates fixed it ok. Can't wait for the next game of these makers!

X3: Reunion

Lame

This game is so behind it's time. The space flight doesn't feel at all realistic, no sense of intertia at all. There is nothing for a tutorial, so I'm just stumbling along blindly trying to figure out how do do ANYTHING. The controls are not intuitive at all. I am severely not impressed, and severely pissed I just shelled out $40 for this game. I mean I'd much rather be playing something like Wing Commander III back on my SNES from 15 years ago or something like Escape Velocity Nova, which although simple graphically, blows this game out of the sky in terms of intuitive control and fun factor, not to mention giving you some sort of direction and tutorial. I mean did I miss something here?

Mushroom Age

This game was pretty bad. The game play & puzzles were amateurish. The dialog was sophmoric, and I suspect it was NOT meant for children. The game was developed by non-Americans, with fairly limited English & History skills. I also received 2 separate updates for the game, which corrected an error, which wouldn't let me get past level 16, despite the fact that I solved the puzzle. Maybe their next game will be better, but I would avoid this one. Fortunately, it was only $9.95, for which I got a fair amount of game play, but the reason for a lot of game play, was trying to figure out where they were trying to go with this game.

What a game!

I bought it and became addicted instantly. Great action and truly hilarious in some places.

Great game. Well worth the money.

This is a really fun puzzle game. Took a lot longer than the typical HO game - actually finding the items was only a small portion of the game - so I'd say at $10 it's great value. The real fun comes in solving the riddles. A little bit of an odd storyline, but interesting nonetheless. There are some funny bits in there to lighten the mood if you pay attention. Anyway, took me a number of sittings to solve it and it's by far my favourite Mystery Case File game to date. Looking forward to the next one!

Too Challenging

This game started out fun but at some point became too difficult. It ended up being more stressful than fun.

Excellent Game; poor implementation

First of all the game itself is good, really good. The AI and some economic behavior needs some tweaking, but overall it is one of the best games I've ever seen.

Unfortunately there are some points leading to the horrible rating:
- the game is quite demanding for Video-RAM. Even on an iMac 27" QuadCore i7 with 512MB VRAM you won't be able to set detail levels to more than medium quality in order to keep the game running smoothly.

- the copy protection requires a constant internet connection while playing the game. For most players having a broadband connection not a problem anymore. But what's annoying is that the game servers are often not reachable, meaning the game won't allow you to play. Having the game for about three weeks the servers were offline for almost FOUR days of playing hours.

- a known problem for the Mac version is a bug that sometimes freezes the game during video-sequences after a game ends or the storyline of the campaign mode. And even three months after the game was released still no bugfix available.
