Lovely

The scenes are really well done, the environment is creative and interesting, and the puzzles are quite challenging. The storyline is interesting and rather sweet. A good measure of how enjoyable it is - it ends far, far too soon (though the product description gives you fair warning of that)! For the price it is worth it for sure.

Brunhilda and the Dark Crystal
 –

Pretty but dull

The scenes are quite nice but the puzzles are not interesting at all - there are 10 levels but at each level the one challenge consists of clicking on (for example) all the butterflies, then all the lanterns, then all the flowers, etc. etc. Once in awhile there are mini-games that involve catching drops of a certain colour. It is really not entertaining or mentally stimulating at all. Definitely not worth the money.

Journey to the Center of the Moon

Not a fan

The controls for this game are awful. I bought this without worrying about there not being a demo version because I assumed - wrongly - that since this game is produced by the same company that does "Mysterious Island" etc that the controls for the game would be the same. But, on my system at least, they are not. I have to click on the "Inventory" button rather than simply right-clicking the mouse. You have to click on an "interact" icon rather than simply hovering over the object to see what can be done with it. Combining objects is even more frustrating, since the game seems to only recognize the one that is "active" in the inventory (selected with a red square around it).

If there is some flaw in my Mac version, I would like to know how to fix it. Otherwise, I just wasted $10.

Terrific game runs well on 2011 MBP 6750m

As bad as Assassin's Creed 2 runs on my Macs, this one runs well.

This is a first rate game that can provide lots of play value. If you happen to be a history buff the game is worthwhile just to enjoy the artistically re-created renaissance cities.

great

I love love love this game. It has the right amount of everything. Makes you think... keeps your brain working, great story line and the game is not too long and not too short.

Dream Chronicles: The Book of Water Collector's Edition
 –

don't bother

pretty short and pretty boring - plus, the story is not particularly child-friendly. You see the father near death and although he recovers, you don't see him interacting in good health. The mother is missing and never shows up. Maybe life can bring these things, but that's no reason to have the whole story of the game hang on them.

Entertainment value is far far less than the price.

A easy game with a lot of cinematic, a nice travel in the jungle, entertaning and a kind or trip in the dream.

Assassin's Creed 2 Deluxe Edition

Amazing Game but ...

I certainly didn't experience any graphic issues (playing it on my 2011 MBP with 1 GB ATI) with all settings maxed. Game is excellent, helps if you are a fan of the franchise or the genre. Only gripe would be that the keyboard decides to freeze some times (on launching the game) and you need to restart the game several times (until the keyboard is recognised - a hit or miss really).

I hope they release Revelations for Mac, I might have to dual boot just to play that game.

Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood
 –

Annoying from the 2nd hour..

Good atmosphere, you feel like youre in the Legend.

Thats about the only good thing I have to say about this game.
After about 2 hours with this game I find myself really annoyed.

The fighting system doesnt work because it requires direct control over your teammembers, so being several doesnt add an advantage. It rather increases the chance of losing team members.

The camp where you prepare for new missions drives me crazy, because teammates dont regen their hp while being there. They can be put to work on crafting arrows, gathering herbs for healing or apples for distraction, without really making any of them when youre on a mission. Feels like accomplishing something in there is merely random.

Sum up: the game has tried to do something that it has failed at. Most of the systems of the gameplay really falls through.
I do not recommend this game at this moment.

Westward IV: All Aboard
 –

The Great Train Wreck

This game was hours of fun and with a price point of under 10 bucks you really can't go wrong. My only concern is the same problem that plaqued the PC version of the game, once you complete the "Great Train Race" level (which is unfortunately the final level) the game freezes and becomes unplayable. You are able to quit out of the game but upon reloading the game you end up with a black screen. Very disappointing after you spend hours (or days in my case) in hopes of completing the game. All in all, it was fun while it lasted.

Mystery Legends: The Phantom of the Opera Collector's Edition
 –

nicely done

The story is pretty straightforward, supports the play. Really fun because the story unfolds nicely and the challenges are varied. Plus, the puzzles flow - they fit the story, whereas in some games the challenges just seem arbitrary. Took me hours to complete, well worth the price. Very pleased with this one.

Phantasmat Collector's Edition
 –

Excellent!

Lots of fun, interesting and interwoven tasks, nicely drawn settings. The story is melodramatic, but it anchors the game play nicely. One of the few games of this sort that I might play again. Not overly challenging but pretty entertaining.
