FIFA Soccer 12
 –

Even two years later, its still fun to play

Im not going to lie and say that i don't want FIFA 13 or 14, but im still content with this. Sure the squads are outdated, but that isnt a minus, there are some players that aren't in FIFA 13 that I still want to use (Santino Quaranta for example), so it isnt all the bad. As for the gameplay, its a FIFA game, which means that its great. The only complaint that I had was that defenders constantly get caught not marking somebody or just going off into nowhere. Its almost funny how they run in a random direction, but this doesnt happen often enough to make the game bad.

The Walking Dead
 –

Great story, but gets rather boring after some time

I love the walking dead series, and I love the story in these episodes, but I wish they had made a game with more engaging and interesting gameplay, or even dialogue. Interesting dialogue rarely comes along becuase for a lot of the game you are just looking for items, and in some cases it takes FOREVER to find these items. It feels like a chore, rather than a fun activity, which makes it less of a game in my opinion.

Conquest of Elysium 3

Cubis Creatures

Poor mechanics

The problem with this game is that it does not constrain your cursor. What I mean by that is, as you play your cursor wonders all around the playing field eventually hitting the reset icon, which terminates your play and starts over again. Really slows you down, having to keep bringing your cursor back into the field of play.

It's Ok....

I was expecting more from this game. I was hoping it would be a 15th Century version of one of the X3 games. They really talked up the trade and combat. It turns out this game is very limited in scope.

Many of the actions that you need to take to get the economy going are not intuitive. I ended up restarting the "Campaign Mode" about 6 times before I figured out how to set it up. Then I stuck it on high speed and just watched the money accumulate.

"Campaign Mode" is kind of a misnomer because all they do is tell you that you need to start a new town, build a church or upgrade a theater in the next year or two.

Building your towns is a little weird because they have a list of "suggested buildings," or a list of "all buildings." The "all buildings" list lumps everything that you've built in with everything you could build, so you have to scroll through the big long list every so often to see if there are any upgrades available to your existing buildings.

Oh yeah, the game voice is kind of annoying too.

I've played it for about 3-4 hours and am ready to move on.
