Another in the series of moving cute little aircraft around the airfield that relies on you ability to click quickly and anticipate required action in order to progress to the next level. A gret little time waster that has an actual end of game.
I love it. It is sweet and quirky and challenging and beautiful, and it is about the only game I have played where I did not want to mute the music after three minutes. It's perfect for all ages - nothing vulgar or violent, but enough adventure and puzzlement to keep anyone busy and entertained.
Big downside: Much too short. Geeta Games, give us more!
Best time management game played to-date. (Compared to one other.)
I mention "Rush for Gold: Alaska", because this is the only other time management game I have played on the Mac. Compared to "Rush for Gold: Alaska", I have found this game to be more of a challenge. I like the fact that I can "paint myself into a corner", realizing that I purchased the wrong building at the time and have to restart. It looks like it will take me longer to reach the end, so the game is good value for the money.
The best RPG offer a combination of action and story and Jade Enpire fills the bill nicely. There is one unfortunate glitch that does not seem ever to have been fixed but it luckily does not ruin the game but was not fixed with an upgrade. The game is only workable on older Macs.
Unfortunately, the game does not work on any Mac OS greater than Snow Leopard. If you use OS 10.7 or above you are out of luck and there is absolutely NO SUPPORT so do not waste your money.
A funny uncomplex game that is a good addition to the series. Unfortunately, the game will only run on a PowerPC and has not been upgraded. Too bad. I would like to be able to waste a little more time on the Silk Road on my newer Intel based Macs.
If you like adventure games, this is a must. I love the original Lucas Arts adventure games and I was skeptical about this game living up to expectations. Tales of Monkey Island is an awesome game: the characters are hilarious, the puzzles are fun to solve, the movie scenes are great, and the length is good (although like with any other good game it feels short). Now a warning: I did not like the first chapter of the game very much. I found frustrating some of the puzzles of this chapter (specially the "map related" ones). Keep going because the rest of the chapters are worth every second spent. I know there are cheaper adventure games around but I would say that this is worth the price and that if you liked the Lucas Arts adventure games you will probably love this.
I was really excited about this game and was hugely disappointed, it has so much potential but it is almost impossible to be successful. A huge let down.
Its a fun game, at first I thought it was quite hard but once you get the hang of it its good fun. The 35 year story line is too short but as you can continue playing I ignored that and continued. Thank you Greenheart Games!
