Capitalism...waste of money

I had hopes it would be a fun stock market, investment game. It was so disappointing after 5 minutes, I never touched it again.

Enchantia: Wrath of the Phoenix Queen Collector's Edition

Good game

A good game which challenges. the solutions are not always obvious and the ending is good. This game takes a good time to play and is value for money! I admit I enjoyed this one over some others I have played lately and will play it again, especially as there is one place where you have 2 choices to go forward. Try it!

Always a winner

I have played this for over 20hrs and still come back to it. The sand play mode is great, as I can play around and experiment. I love this game

The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles
 –

Really good

The puzzles are challenging and original, the story fun, and you get many hours of play. I prefer it to the first Unwritten Tales, though that one was quite good.

Initially Critter's gibberish is annoying, but I got used to it and came to find it endearing. And there is a a pattern to his dialogue that provides some clues.

One criticism is the needlessly snarky portrayal of an environmental activist - I can see people being offended by it, and for no reason.

Omerta: City of Gangsters
 –

OK Game with Fantastic Theme

I love gangster related strategy games which are few and far between. I remember playing Gangsters for the PC years ago and that was a flawed, if cool game. Omerta brings up similar feelings. It takes an awesome theme - Prohibition-era Atlantic City and has some cool game elements like the strategic "mob business" operation side plus the tactical combat side but the execution is less than stellar and the game is actually quite easy once you get the hang of it. Combat is fun but clunky; running a mob empire is little more than building a few key businesses and when the money faucet starts running it's impossible to turn off. There's basically no rival gang element and the police threat is a joke. Overall a truly disappointing game that is still fun to play but has little long term value.

Gods Vs Humans
 –

Entertaining for about 3 hours

Its fun to play for a couple hours, then after that it gets pretty repetitive and boring. But for a game the price of a movie ticket, three hours isnt a bad deal.

Gomo

Great Game, Far too Short.

As Point and Click, Adventure, Exploration games go this may be a bit simplistic for most people but it is usually what I am looking for in relaxing entertainment. The puzzles are pretty much Red Round Peg in Red Round Hole so you don't have to wait very long for a 'Lightbulb' moment... the graphics are cute; for me this was a very playable game. Problem? There is only about an hour of game play here. Sadly not enough. If I received at least five hours out of it I would have given it 5 Stars.

Monument Builders: Notre Dame
 –

Below average

I really enjoy resource management games, but this one really falls short of the mark for me personally. I would assume that casual gamers that don't play them often, would like this more than I did.

Pros:
• You learn facts about the Notre Dame! Requires reading though.

Cons:
• Graphics are not very enticing, with a lack of details and too popping colors.
• Very easy (See above, as I might not be the primary target here).
• Doesn't seem very play tested. You tend to end up doing the 'real management'/gaming in the first half of each level, and then just sit and click the same 4 buildings in the second half of the game to collect the number of resources needed to win. This is my biggest flaw with this game, as it really removes all the fun.
• Some things are not well explained.
• Very creepy 'game host'.
• You can end up in situations where you cant finish the map, without restarting the level. While this as such is fine, as it is a strategy game, this should not be able to happen within the first 30 seconds of starting a map, since you are playing on time and should be able to get an overview before having to restart the level.

I would probably target this game for young gamers aged 6-12 (Im not quite young anymore, but I like my gaming anyway!). They would probably also rate it a tad higher than I did.

Check vs Mate
 –

Quite good

No matter if you want flashy fighting units, normal chess pieces or a flat overview, this game has it. Several different modes and backgrounds to play on, to give you something to come back to, or give you a break from a 'normal' game of chess. In general a very solid chess game.

The only things I really miss, is actually a quick way to switch the game to windowed mode from full screen, and a quick function on the main menu for jumping into a simple chess game (Instead of having to click through several menus). And some less flashy animated units, as the current one are a bit too gimmicky for my taste (I'd prefer something akin to the old Battle Chess, as another reviewer also mentions.

Building the Great Wall of China Collector's Edition
 –

Few issues

Gliches out every 15 miutes or so, colors fade in, screen is blurry, pixels, etc.

Length of play 9/10, lots of levels
variety of play 6/10. Lots of the same old from start to finish
Ease of learning to play 9/10

Value, i think i paid 5 bucks for it and its well worth it. I use it to de stress at end of the day, not a real brain buster. Likely a great game for 8-15 year olds. A bit childish, and repetative, but good way to vedge. Not worth more than 7-10 dollars, and does need a few fixes. See it for less than 10 bucks i would say buy it, what you see is what you get on this one, and its not to bad.
