Legion Arena Icon
A good "5 Minute Break" game
by James Yee, USA - Jul 12th 2007

If you want a Roman tactical game but you don't have the time to devote to the bigger games like Age of Empires or Rome Total War, then Legion Arena is right up your alley.

Featuring quick (I think 10 minutes was my longest fight) battles, units that improve over time, and true army development and customization this game does a lot in a limited amount of space.

The game isn't very flashy, or very detailed, but it gets the point across nicely. Good for the general on the go, who doesn't have the hours he wants to spend runing an entire empire.

Great Game!
by KATHY KEELER, Canada - Jul 12th 2007

Kept me busy for hours.......still stuck on one puzzle. Puzzles range from easy to difficult. Just as you think they are a breeze a difficult one comes along that can stump you. esp. in the strategy mode.

Angry at random game crashing
by Eli Lawhorn, USA - Jul 12th 2007

Well the game is fun, for the 15 minutes I can play it, and then it crashes, and even when I reinstall it, it crashes over and over. And there is absolutely nowhere to turn to for help, so in other words, its just not a good idea to buy it due to lack of customer support.

I love this genre!
by Jan Smith, USA - Jul 12th 2007

Hidden object games are fun, challenging and relaxing, which suits me to a tee. The graphics are beautiful, the music pleasant and the storyliine cute in this game. I've played it over and over to beat my previous scores. It's just something to get lost in for awhile. Every age can play this as it tests your powers of observation and memory. Most fun on a big screen Mac.

Just all around a great game
by Jan Smith, USA - Jul 12th 2007

This game is fun, challenging and never gets boring. Yes, there are objects to find in every level, but they change, and the beautiful graphics, the ambient sounds and the music are relaxing and take you away from life's everyday worries for a few hours. Plus, once you complete the levels, you can play the Blitz mode forever, improving on your score again and again. As far as hidden object games go, this rates tops!

Unity Indie Icon
Amazing A+
by Jarrod Nettles, USA - Jul 12th 2007

Unity is the be all and end all of indie game development on the Mac. No other environment delivers the ease of use, powerful tools, and slick interface for designing truly amazing games. The graphical capabilities are awe inspiring and the programming has been greatly simplified without any loss in raw power or control over your game. If you've been thinking about jumping into game development, look no further than Unity.

Disappointment at End!
by Elaine Alphin, USA - Jul 12th 2007

The game itself is fun and following the map is exciting - but it's a bust at the end because it stops in the middle of the plot and gives you a message to look for a future game to continue the story - so you have to buy two games in order to follow one storyline! That feels like cheating to me on the part of the game maker. I was very disappointed, and sorry I paid money to play it wihtout an ending.

A Good Game-By Itself
by Sam Durston, Canada - Jun 30th 2007

Age of Empires III was a great game, good graphics, awesome sound. The graphics were very good but didn't have the "wow factor" like some games graphics. The sound was amazing from music to fighting to birds, the cannons sound very realistic. The reason i gave the overall rating an average was because the game should have been released in its own series. Many fans I know of Age of Empires I and II were disappointed with this game because the classic medeval warfare has been completely taken out, except maybe a few units that are in the first ages and are not at all primary units. If you loved Age of Empires one or two because of the great melee battles prepare to be disappointed. Some changes in economy were also made. villagers no longer have to drop off resources at a Town Center or lumbercamp etc. the resources just instantly go into your spending making the games resouces much like Rise of Nations for those who own that game. CONCLUSION. A great game with good graphics and sound but fans of previous Age of Empires will most likely be disappointed.

Limited appeal
by David LM McIntyre, USA - Jun 30th 2007

Interesting variation on many older buy low sell high free market games, the story line runs out pretty quickly and one is left with nothing to do but travel from port to port buying and selling - which loses its appeal very quickly

Thought it was something it wasn't!
by Chad P. Coady, USA - Jun 30th 2007

The screenshots and description lead you to believe that the game is similar to the old 'Axis and Allies' setup. The design and flow of that interface was easy and didn't require a textbook to figure how use it! If you're not looking for a college education on idiot game design then I suggest you look elsewhere!

It's a harsh judgment, but as an avid strategy gamer I can't believe how poorly put together this was...

I've had this game since it first came out and it never gets old. If you're into a good RPG game, this is a must have!! Even though it's almost 7 years old, people are always playing online. The community is great! I highly recommend this game.
