Having played this on iMac and Xbox 360 the Mac port is definitely heads and shoulders better. Visuals are much sharper and cleaner, there is adjustable steering sensitivity and linearity, although multiplayer is dead and apparently inaccessible except for GameRanger. On 360 the steering was horrible, so the adjustable sensitivity alone is worth it for me. As expected for an older game, though, new controllers and wheels are NOT compatible: the PS4 and Xbox One controllers are not listed as usable with the game, although the older Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers are.
The rebirth of the racedriver series could not be better. gameplay somewhere between arcade and hardcore rally, great graphics, even better sound and most of all - perfectly optimized for MacBooks :) offers hours of fun even on older hardware. 5 of 5 stars!
