Unique Premise for a Game

This was a unique story to the series of Nancy Drew. Love that they are keeping the storylines fresh and new.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
 –

Pretty Good!!

I don't normally play these kind of games but since it's lotr theme (and on sale) I decided to try it. Not bad, happy there's a gore toggle. Overall gameplay is easy learn, but hard to master. (esp on a laptop) Graphics are awesome!
The characters are cool - elves, dwarves, men, and of course hobbits! Hobbits aren't main/important characters but they are around. The orcs, goblins, and other foul creatures can be hard to beat.
Happy gaming! :)

Square Heroes
 –

Quick playing game that is easy to play!

I got to spend some time playing this on Mac before it made it to the Mac Game Store, and it is loads of fun. Your little square gets to zip around and beat on, shoot, incinerate, and explode the opposition! There is a surprising amount of skill and strategy to get good at it - knowing what weapons to pick up and when to turn tail vs. fight - and you can easily sink more time than you realize into it. Well worth the price, and more the bargain when on sale!

Journey of a Roach
 –

Good game

Journey of a Roach is developed by the Swiss team of Koboldgames in co-operation with Daedalic Entertainment. Players will visit a sarcastic, post-apocalyptic world where Roach Jim and his sidekick Bud are out and about to find their way from a deserted vault to the Earth's surface. Players must steer them through classic point & click adventure game puzzles. Certain challenges can be overcome by using the roach's natural abilities. Being roaches, Jim and Bud have the ability to crawl up walls and on ceilings, as well as on items.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
 –

Best game of the series

The follow-up to Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. This time around, developer Rockstar North and publisher Rockstar take players to the state of San Andreas.

Five years ago Carl Johnson escaped from the pressures of life in Los Santos, San Andreas... a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs and corruption. Where filmstars and millionaires do their best to avoid the dealers and gangbangers. Now, it's the early 90s. Carl's got to go home. His mother has been murdered, his family has fallen apart and his childhood friends are all heading towards disaster. On his return to the neighborhood, a couple of corrupt cops frame him for homicide. CJ is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.

Maestro: Music from the Void
 –

Not bad

A nice game, with lots to do even if not so complicated. To relax and spend some time. Nice solution for hidden objects and puzzle to be repeated. Different environments and good graphics.

Secret Diaries: Florence Ashford
 –

Way Too Short

The game itself was decent, but it is so short I couldn't believe it was already over. The story line ends and I was thinking WTH that was a waste of money.

Moebius: Empire Rising
 –

Try demo first!

I'm grateful I was able to try the demo before buying. I didn't care for the game at all, there were too many movie scenes, and even during gameplay I felt I spent a lot of time watching the main character walk extremely slow, and when I used the 'teleport' to move faster it made the scene feel very disjointed. I felt like I was pixel hunting at times and at other times I felt I was left guessing without enough clues. Thank you for the demo, but I'll be looking for a different game.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Solid Port!

Can't complain! The game runs great on my 6 y/o laptop! No crashes or slowdown! I'm impressed! The game plays just fine with keyboard and mouse! The combat is fairly automatic! Left button is used to attack and the right button to counter-attack. It works great! Fun game! Highly recommended!

Here are my system specs: Apple 15" PowerBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66 GHz, 4 MB system RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT with 256MB dedicated video RAM, running OS X version 10.6.8 (10K549), HSF+ Extended file system, Dell 24" External LCD Monitor.

Aero's Quest
 –

Try Demo First

I can't rate this game because the performance is too poor, even though I have met the minimum requirements. I use a Macbook Air 3, 2, but can run Bioshock, Arkham Asylum and The Darkness 2 with little trouble, but this game simply doesn't run, no matter if it's windowed, and set to 'LOW' - is still shows litterally three frams per second. Too bad to - this game supports an Xbox controller - one thing I am always looking out for.
