The Palace Builder

Fun for what it's worth.

Your the lead landscaping and building planner in this game, you decide where you what to put each structure and then place your little workers where they need to go in order to plant the gardens, build the structures and sculpt the statues before time runs out. Your funds are also limited and each building, garden or structure you create costs money and only brings in a certain amount of income each month, so you have to plan accordingly in order to satisfy your clients.

Overall, it's a fun, fairly simple game and what you'd expect for $9.99. I zipped through it in a couple of evenings and enjoyed the Shakespearean side plot of the girl who must pretend to be a boy in order to follow her professional dreams amid the snooty royalty, jealous rivalry and rigid expectations of the 18th century.

A Vampyre Story

Love the whole environment! Gameplay is simple enough, you go around the castle and pick up useful items and figure out ways to use them that will help you escape.

My biggest problem is that the game crashes from time to time. Hopefully this will be fixed. In the mean time, remember to save your game.

Space Trader

This is a fun little game that mixes the first person sim genre with the first person shooter. As far as the trader part of the game goes, figuring out what items to buy and sell based on what's going up in value can be a bit tricky. However, you can usually make up for a lack of market savvy if you're willing to turn bounty hunter and take down a few criminals. My only knock on the game is that it has only three levels. Do yourself a favor and try the demo, if you like that then more than likely you'll enjoy the full version of the game.
